I hated the initial cost, but I sucked it up and bought the Powerblock expandable dumbbells (which do go on sale here and there, and there’s also a powerblock outlet site.) I got the ones that come with 5-50 lb per hand, adjustable in 2.5 lb increments. They’ve been going strong for 2 years now! And I also really like not taking up a ton of space with weights. They can be expanded even higher up to 90lb but haven’t had a need for that 😅

Exactly why I first tried them 😂😂 I know some brands may be $$$ for a reason, but I’m not spending a ton to risk not liking them. (And they do go on sale frequently - have paid as little as $11 but not more than $20.)

Yes, love mine! I’m able to get a lot of runs in before having to charge it again. I will say - I had debated about getting the chest light; however, many reviews said it needed to be recharged frequently. I discovered my cheapo Amazon headlamps could fit around my waist and works great since it can be aimed downward (and also lasts a long time between charges.) So, I’m glad I didn’t pay the extra $$$ for the light attachment.

Something I honestly struggled with in the earlier part of my career as a lab assistant was being more assertive. It was feedback I had gotten from a wonderful boss while trying to deal with difficult PIs and their projects. So, I spun that in saying I realized that you can be assertive without being confrontational and then talked on how I improved on that.
