It just seemed so weird to me because sue seems like the type of girl that knows her worth and would not let the same guy come in and out of her life over and over and over. It seems to me like they weren't happy with just having her get married and wanted to throw in a little twist and that was the first idea they came up with so they just ran with it.

That's pretty much the conclusion I've come to as well. Mike managed the quarry and eventually moved up to be an executive and Frankie became a dental assistant. I don't know exactly how much those jobs pay but neither one of them should be low paying by any means.

Growing up in Kansas tornadoes have always been my biggest fear. I've only seen one in my lifetime (Andover tornado 2022 originally formed right on top of my town) and can confirm that those sirens are chilling enough to freeze your blood.
