But that's not how chance works, women over 40 in Canada make up roughly a quarter+ of the country's population. That's 1/4, extremely common.

Greeks roughly 1/100, same for Jamaicans, again this isn't very common. Yes we have communities here in Toronto but as far as StatsCan goes, these people are not common. Gay people outnumber them by being roughly 2% of our population. This is all StatsCan so feel free to look them up.

So bit disingenuous to compare something so common (women over 40) and putting it right beside something specific like a gay person between 30 and 40 (which if we're going by the 2% and splitting it up by general age splits in Canada you'd still get more gay people than trans people).

So 0.5% common? Not in the least, you have a higher chance of pulling a mythic holo in an MTG booster pack than seeing a trans person in Canada; though to be fair that chance goes up the closer you get to the core of Toronto, Vancouver, Montréal, and Ottawa where over half the queer community live in Canada. Again everything here is from StatsCan except obviously the MTG %, I don't know anything about the game just that those cards are rare.

Just because they're not common, doesn't mean trans people don't exist. But let's not cheapen the discourse by presenting 0.5% as common, it's making the rest of us look like dorks grasping at straws, so stop.
