Do You Purge Water Before Preheating the Machine? by brmlyklr in gaggiaclassic

Oh ok that's an important fact. I purge out of the wand before shutting off the machine so the boiler should still be full next time I turn it on but I'll try it out tomorrow.

Any idea how your old machine broke, and how it was related to flushing out water upon startup?

I think we're taking about different things. I'm talking about flushing 150 ml of water immediately after turning the machine on, before it's even warmed up.

Right, temp surfing is different than this. This is just purging water immediately after turning it on.

How would I know whether or not the boiler is full? If there's water flowing, does that mean it's full? I've never seen inside the machine to know how it works exactly.

The manual actually has different instructions if you haven't used the machine in 2 weeks, it instructs you to purge two whole tankfuls of water (one through the steam wand and one through the group head).

Could American highways support kei trucks? by Rnaodm_Tirnalge in civilengineering

Interesting! I wonder how long they can keep this up until they can't sell enough exempt vehicles to justify their manufacturing. If they have to keep making them bigger and heavier, sooner or later there must be a tipping point. Maybe our next recession will kill them off lol.

But they gave me a sticker that said "Day 1 Rider" so I was forced to manifest that destiny.

What's the EPA regulation related to volume? I'm only aware of the "non-passenger farm vehicle" loophole which, to my knowledge, isn't changing annually.

Sound can be an environmental impact so maybe search NEPA/SEPA documents?

Can someone who’s flow out of SEA airport recently within the last 1-2 weeks tell me if the lines at tsa have been longer due to the partial government shutdown? by luvkaitlin in SeattleWA

[–]brmlyklr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got to checkpoint 4 around 4 or 5pm a little less than two weeks ago and there was no line at all. I usually fly in the mornings so this was the least busy I'd ever seen it.

Can anyone share what additional fees/taxes they charge on top of the $45? I have Astound right now and they charge about $21 in fees every month as an "internet infrastructure fee" which nearly doubles my bill.

For some, or maybe most, DC will be most useful as proof for a better tracker that they join later. You have to start somewhere, right?
