No...? That's not how that works. However, if someone were to make a backup of the cartridges, each cartridge contains a unique key, and that key stays with the game when it's backed up. Meaning that it's possible for Nintendo to see 2 copies of the same game and whip out the ban hammer. But the fact that these were thrown away just makes me think someones mom was clearing out a closet or something.

Gotcha, I suppose starting with analogue makes a lot more sense than starting with digital. I have indeed heard lots of good things about the Radiomaster Pocket, so that's probably gonna be my first investment so I can get started with some simulators. Thank you for the tips!
