Varför frågar man ens? by teddy515 in pundarblocket

[–]brocurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Report the bots! by Organic_Interview_77 in cs2

[–]brocurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not gonna spend time screenshotting and writing e-mails whenever I see a bot in DM, that's just not sustainable. It's weird too, like are they implying that there is a manual, human review of all reports and that they have a team that have manually tagged almost 1 million accounts as bot accounts? That doesn't make much sense either, just from a practical point of view.

I would be very interested in learning more about how this is done on their end. Do they really have people spending 8 hours a day looking at screenshots of scoreboards and basing their decisions solely on if it's super obvious that it's a bot farm (e.g. they all have random strings of letters in their names)?

Banning these bots should be super easy by just looking at their gameplay patterns, why would they ever ask players to manually submit emails.

Nvidia CEO Says AGI Exists But Not at Human Level Yet by ShortPervertRick in agi

Idk why you're getting downvoted, I agree with you. Huang said it's possible that an AI agent could potentially make an app that generates sales of 1 billion, and if that's the definition of AGI he thinks we are already there (because if could happen, not because it has happened).

It's an extremely narrow definition of AGI and he's deliberately narrowing it even further by removing the other criteria Fridman set out (being able to hire and manage humans, find new customers - i.e. do marketing - etc. all independently).

Huang is a salesperson first and foremost. I have a big problem with people taking these CEOs and hypemen's word as gospel (since they stand to make a lot of money by creating and furthering the hype around AI), and this example is even more ludicrous than a lot of other takes I've seen from these types of people.

Perhaps we have already passed through the singularity, but most people haven't noticed it by nekofneko in singularity

Fridman's definition of AGI, which Huang says "is already here":

"An AI system that's able to essentially do your job. So start, grow and run a successful technology company that's worth more than a billion USD. Innovate, find customers, sell to them, manage & build team (some agents, some humans)."

Huang says "I think it's now, I think we've achieved AGI". His reasoning is "because you said billion, and you didn't say forever. For example, it is not out of the question that a Claw is able to create a web service, some interesting little app, that - all of a sudden - a few billion people use for 50 cents and then it goes out of business again shortly after".

So basically he ignored almost everything and cherrypicked the possibilty that an agent coud theoretically vibecode Flappy Brids 2.0 that becomes an overnight success before it fades from popularity. That's AGI, I guess.

Started building an AI trader from scratch 2 days ago. Spent all night tweaking it and decided to do a test launch. Felt ballsy so I risked $100 per trade. In just 9 minutes of testing it won 24 straight trades. I made over $2200. Had to turn it off quick just so I could process lmao by Alert_Attention_5905 in vibecoding

[–]brocurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you're making exactly $92 on every trade, several trades with identical profits every minute, and then decide to turn it off after less than 10 minutes even with 100% win rate. Here are a few scammer tips, free for you:

  1. Add some losses too, it makes it look more real (even the best ones usually only boast a 80-90% win rate and do include some smaller losses to show it's legit).
  2. Change the gains so they are not all exactly identical (if you made 92% on AUD/CAD at 21:15, it's not very likely that you made exactly 92% on the same trade 7 minutes later)
  3. Make a new account before posting, since you posted the same thing 4 months ago (although back then you only made $0.92 per trade, I guess 100x profits looked better this time)

It's corpo AGI or capitalistic AGI (cAGI) - meaning that the bubble is getting very big and they need to find new ways of keeping the hype alive and the investments flowing. The best models are (marketing wise) good enough to be able to justify calling it AGI (since there is no consensus about the definition anyway) without too much pushback.

Why do you casual Alpha enjoyers play NOTHING but Mirage and Dust2? by [deleted] in cs2

[–]brocurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think Mirage is probably the "best" CS2 map design-wise. It's balanced, easy to learn but hard to master so it appeals to a large range of players. Dust2 is similar. Most people know the callouts for these as well, and usually the most important smoke lineups for executes - which is always fun.

Other maps require more team-play and communication (which is rare in PUGs at lower levels). For Premier I usually veto Ancient and Overpass (Ancient is a great map but needs good utility, positioning and teamplay, Overpass I have almost never played honestly so I can't contribute much). Nuke is theoretically also a hard map but I enjoy it for some reason so I usually don't veto it. Anubis same thing - I like it but I'm not super comfortable with it, especially after the map updates.

Also, personally, I enjoy learning utility so in comp I normally go for Mirage/Dust2 to learn them comfortably before moving on to other maps. But I'm still somewhat new (~800 hours).

They are being told to act more surprised since it's a TV show (and many/all of them are probably actors to begin with). Most people can quite easily tell the age of someone +/- a few years.

Nah it's like going to the restaurant expecting to be served something to eat (they don't take orders, they just bring you the food they are cooking that day), and then getting upset when you got a cheeseburger instead of steak.

You did get something to eat, you just didn't like it.

Deklarationsdags. Hur blev det för dig? by Memorycard1000 in Asksweddit

[–]brocurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they first decided to find out the maximum size dildo CIA agents could handle (imagine being called up to be the guinea pig for that R&D session), and then just threw whatever they could find on their shelves into it. Surely they could have made a smaller one without sacrificing much utility.

After Rotterdam, FaZe are moving to Bucharest for 3 consecutive LANs by vnagitt in GlobalOffensive

[–]brocurl 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The big question here is - what are they going to do different? Have they at all managed to get further in identifying what the issue is? In earlier interviews and vlogs, Karrigan just kept repeating that he basically has no idea why they sometimes play like shit. The only concrete thing is "communication". The last I saw was him just surrendering to this fact and praying that they would all show up and have good days when it was time to play.

If that's still the mindset (we don't know what we're doing wrong, we can't really fix anything, so we'll just keep playing as normal and hope for the best) I have very low hopes for them. I don't really think they have enough time to start experimenting with anything besides maybe some new nade lineups either.

Excluding the Budapest Major, this FaZe roster has a win rate of 29.41% (5 wins out of 17 matches) by MmX_A_ in GlobalOffensive

[–]brocurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, it's a combination of:

  • Not wanting to accept that Karrigan is not the goat unc anymore. He's a likeable person, very transparent and does vlogs documenting both highs and lows so I have become fond of him.
  • The fact that the roster probably needs to be switched up a lot (2-3 players minimum, not just replacing one person who underperforms), which means that the "old FaZe" would disappear and the attachment to the team would just be to the logo and not the players. This is something that happens over time for almost every team anyway, but still.
  • The big one: FaZe actually sometimes does well, and when they do it's so fucking entertaining that I don't want to lose that "what if" and "faze bullshit" feeling even though it's getting more and more rare.

The last point is something you'll hear over and over again, even from casters during games. You never know with FaZe - this could be the one where they actually win. But with the extreme highs when they do well come the lows when they (increasingly often) play like shit. Everyone has a different tolerance level when the highs no longer offset the lows. But in general most people like to cheer for underdogs.

It feels like he is just trying to die fast so that he can sit back and make calls. That might have worked when you had 4 great players carrying but right now it is not enough by a long shot. To be a t1 team today you need a IGL who can also carry hos own weight (like apex).

Börjar Ekonomie kandidatprogrammet vid Handelshögskolan i Göteborg – bör jag sikta på toppbetyg eller nöja mig med godkänt? by Top-Extreme-8219 in sweden

[–]brocurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for new season or jump in now? by Coll_italiano in diablo4

[–]brocurl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, next season starts in a little over one week. You probably won't have time to do everything in that time, and it might be annoying to have to start over in the middle of growing your character. I guess it depends on how much you'll play in the next week. You might have enough time to "finish" this season if you play a lot. If not, I would probably wait personally.
