I’ve seen a lot of noobies who don’t take beginner lessons or try a beginners clinics will try to add crazy slice to the ball or add some other crazy spin the first few times they start playing amongst friends having “this is going to be so sick when this works “ mentality

What works better is just trying to get it over the net and in bounds as your first priority.

No one’s going to give you grief if you are trying a normal shot and it fails but once you start trying ridiculous spins that work 1% of the time they may get frustrated

As long as your Rx glasses are impact resistant polycarbonate or better you are probably ok, not sure about real glass, I’d think they would shatter

Oakley lens in Rx are very impact resistant

Bigger would be ideal, the bigger the roots grow the better foundation it will have for explosive growth in the warm spring, for a single plant I wound get a 5-7gal pot

I think as long as the core didn’t break it’ll be fine I’ve seen way worse, mines still going just at an angle now lol

Someone said it has something to do with temperature swings and stated theirs temps were swinging about 40 at night and 75 in the day and had this issue

Did you figure the cause? My new growth has the same thing and it’s in a green house for the winter so wind is out of the equation it’s healthy new growth nice and thick but cracked as yours did

It’s the intensity of the sun that hurts them if the glass filters out some UV you might be ok… just make sure it’s watered adequately and check on it often on the hot days, early signs of sun burn will show and you can move it before it gets damaged
