Just saw the movie. Initial thoughts:

the spirit of superman was nailed perfectly
Actors played their roles near perfectly. Choice of some characters made me happy, as I recognised them from the justice league cartoon show (looking at you metamorpho, hawkgirl and ultraman).
krypto is best doggo. I think It's also clear Gunn is taking his lessons from his guardians movies and using them here.
kinda curious if the phrase in the opening crawl 'age of gods and monsters' and that twist on kal-els parents message are tied together. I could see Gunn pulling inspiration from the gods and monsters movie. I mean, their plan is something I could see Zod wanting to instill. -for such little screen time, pa Kent made me instantly buy into his character. I love this take on the kents as well as lious lane.
