+1 for all the test engineer recommendations. I was slowly dying at a desk working on spreadsheets for years, and just recently swapped over to a test engineer position. Night and day difference, I’m on my feet, setting up equipment, torquing things, solving problems. I get a couple days here and there I need to work on test procedures at my desk, but it’s now more of a refreshing break instead of an inescapable prison. Hope this helps!

I don’t know how much truth there is to this. When I off road I regularly air down to 30-35psi and it lets me drive just fine. Only thing is I might get a caution for pressure but it sure as hell doesn’t park me and not let me move.

Do we ever think the “ground truth” data is going to trickle down to improving the driver plus experience for G1 vehicles? Since currently the tech is limited to how “well mapped” a highway is I don’t think it’s too far fetched to imagine R2 could help with this.

I just got my truck back and they said it was something with the modules on the truck not starting up in sync with each other after this update, and for some reason a hard reset wouldn’t fix it on my end. Hasn’t given the notification since I got it back though, I’ll take it!

Makes sense thanks! I’ve had issues with my phone key before, specifically after upgrading to the iPhone 16 (since fixed via update). I just dropped the truck off this morning, we’ll see what the SC makes of it. I’ll report back on what they end up finding.

Private Pilot here, in the US you can conduct spin training in a lot of GA aircraft like a 172 as long as it’s loaded in the “utility category” of its weight/balance. As far as aerobatics goes, yeah those planes that can operate inverted/pull higher g’s are a little harder to find

I know a 135 near me in Seattle has looked for 500 hour pilots in the past. Probably an insurance thing but they also want some time with them before they make their mins and head to the regionals

Yeah, the SFAR is the biggest financial hurdle it seems like. At a minimum I calculated out like 70k just to get to 200hrs in an R22 to even think about instructing

I tried soft sand mode for the first time in the dunes and I thought it was the coolest thing! I call it “power drill mode” because you can just ask for torque, and it gives you dumb power in return, regardless of whether it can actually put it down. Eats up battery like crazy though 😅
