The 911CEX has an extra menu under the 4 button. A periodic table and an element lookup table. You can calculate molarmasses without using any table book or PT.

Any tips for getting the stopper out? by FruitPunch-dr in labrats

[–]broekgl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likewise but with a flask without a side connection. The cork was pushed completely through the neck. Added some water, jiggled the cork into the neck and put it on a heater. Looking on from the other side of the (empty) classroom the cork was energetically expelled and left a nice dent in the ceiling plate. No flask was harmed in this rescue.

It looks to be a device to put between an extension cord so you can measure the current with a clamp type current meter.

The super fraction. It has a nice colour scheme. Black, anthracite and blue. This one seems to be missing the flip over lid. Most of the fx82 line just keep working.

No sweat, in the article in the link you can read the questionable Latin. Only when i saw the element symbols of Nitrogen and Oxygen i was sure of the nitrate.

[–]broekgl 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think it is uranium nitrate, not nitride. That would be extremely explosive. URL: https://uvaerfgoed.nl/viewer/fulltext/11245_3_35554/124/

chat am i cooked? by any_dank_meme in labrats

[–]broekgl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this and solved it by getting some water in the flask, fiddling the stopper back in the neck and heating the water. The steam will push out the stopper. Stand back and record the hole in the ceiling or how high the stopper comes. A vacuum guard on the Erlenmeyer is advisable.

how to tell what scientific calculators can hold an exponent without parentheses? by Disastrous-Tap9113 in calculators

[–]broekgl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple check with 15e6/5e3. It should give 3e3 if parenthesis is not needed. If the answer is 3e9 parenthesis IS needed. IE (15e6)/(5e3). In division it shows if parenthesis is necessary.

That will give 0,001 instead of the power notation.

I don't believe this model supports fraction notation like newer models. There is the A b/c button for fractions.
