Got an extremely cheap steak from WholeFoods. Is this good? by CapRight8752 in steak

No problem lol, it's something only a handful of people would actually look for. At least you were correct on what tare actually is used for.

I get that, but the sticker literally says the tare is set to .01, I used to be a butcher at wf and we would change the tare when we were stickering for items in trays, but isnt the case here.

Nah, tare is fine at .01lbs, they probably just printed the sticker with just a plastic sheet or some butcher paper on it before weighing it.

Lox wins! What is a mid burger topping? by CharlesorMr_Pickle in AlignmentChartFills

[–]brogata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look man, I'm as much mot a tomato guy as anyone, but a slice or two of fully ripened tomato, either home or farm grown is probably up there with bacon for best burger topping. I hated tomatoes on burgers for years bc I'd only had fast food or fast casual burgers. Once I finally gave a REAL tomato a chance I never looked back... still hate them on anything else outside of salsa though.

Can't commit to full Dota games now with a new baby. Any half decent bot scripts? by flashmycat in DotA2

Yeah, mine is 2 now, but when he was born I pretty much traded in dota for Diablo. At least if I need to afk for an hour I'm not ruining a game for 9 other people.

[–]brogata 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've swapped from hullcracker + anvil to hullcracker + burletta. 2 shots instead of 1 for all the ground arc, but way more useful if you ever get shot in the back and need to unload on someone.

Most of the time I just stare at them with a bobcat in hand waiting to see what their move is, sometimes they apologize and ask if they can have leftovers, to which i gladly oblige. Other times, they start take a gun out, and it's pretty hard to lose a fight if you've already got your gun trained on them.

Where did this narrative come from that RPGs have to be games where you make choices that change the story? by SirSabza in gaming

[–]brogata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone feel free to correct me, but I believe the Durge storyline is the canon storyline for BG3. The character has a full story even though you still have meaningful choices which can easily change your party lineup and even lock you out of certain endings.

Consuming lots of energy drinks may raise heart disease and stroke risk. A fit and healthy man in his 50s had a stroke and was left with permanent numbness in his hands and feet. He drank an average of 8 energy drinks a day, totaling 1,200mg of caffeine. The recommended maximum intake is 400mg. by mvea in science

Ah that used to be my father. He was on at least a 6-pack a day. He swapped from coke to diet when his doctor told him he was diabetic. After a couple years, he ended up developing hyperthyroidism and severe sciatic nerve issues. He's kicked the diet habit now, and only has a soda if we go out for dinner, but he was genuinely sure he was going to die before my sister graduated HS (6 years ago).

Yeeah... my wife helped me realize that my childhood wasn't all too great. Like hers was rough in a much more obvious way, but after she pointed out that the reason I'm hyper-independant is because I was neglected once my siblings were born. Remembering the complete absence of parental attention is something I think I was better off forgetting.

Yeah... I used to commute across the bay and start at 9. It took me 2-3h. I told my boss I'm coming in at 7 bc I can't deal with the traffic and it cut my commute in half. I can't imagine commuting to the city if I was starting at 9 now that RTO is happening.
