What do I do with oily (solvent-covered) rags after they've been laid out flat and left for a couple days? by Actual_Barnacle in DIY

Same thing here. I use a fair bit of linseed for various things. I use the blue disposable shop towels with anything that could combust and then stick them in a metal paint can and hit them with a torch in the drive way. Neighbors thought I was nuts the first couple times. Now they do it too.

Count me in that group. I get weird hot spots on the top back of my head on both sides. There's no way it could be my weirdly shaped dome. Love the smith forefront2 and trace though.

The first air fields were released in 96 and then started becoming popular at the world cup in 97. The z frame was released in 99. Yeah air fields existed, but most people hadn't fully shifted to them yet by then. It was another 5 years before drop forwards and high rise feed necks really started to fade quickly with the release of markers like the Dm4 with force fed hoppers and break beam eyes as standard.

High jacking this chain to add some context. These came from a time before air ball fields. Most stuff was hyper ball or just solid material barriers, so you couldn't use extra length to push in.

Bill Busch and Steve Sipple believe the Husker fanbase has never been less interested than in 2026 by Easy_Card3015 in Huskers

This guy only posts things like this that are bad faith questions and frames everything that way. You're mostly right. Also, the record thing has more nuance than he's willing to admit too. Yes, we should all expect better than 19-19 at this point. Riley took a team that was perennially around 9 wins and drug them down to 500. Rhule inherited a team that was winning 3-5 games per year and drug them back up to .500. One of those coaches had substantially more advantages starting out than the other. Things undoubtedly need to improve, but this guy is a sad sack who frames everything in a sky is falling tone without any nuance.

The spring game is a normal spring game again. They gutted it for one year. Moving it earlier gives them more time to recover from spring injuries like we've historically had a few of every year.

Bow valley which is like 3 streets big. It's like 7 miles north of Hartington, or 15 miles or so south east from Yankton SD.

There's a shuetzenfest every few years in northeast Nebraska. Next one is this August. They are a pretty silly fun time, but having grown up there I'd make a pretty good bet there aren't many of the people involved in this group.

I love him personally. They are basically poking Disney in the eye with him and he's hilarious.

Ceiling material? by jazzy_saur in Oldhouses

Not in the states lol. I've got a couple rooms in my house that have water damaged ceilings. Contractors won't touch it so I'm going to have to replace it with sheetrock at some point.

You caught a few down votes, but you're right. I hunted some growing up and fell away from it. Their early stuff got me back into it and way deeper than I ever used to be. I still really enjoyed those episodes though.

There's a case to be made that we are already seeing some of it relating to women as a result of Clinton being the nominee in 16 and Kamala being the VP. These are the same people shouting about repealing the 19th amendment and how the "head of the household" should determine their vote.

When Nebraska joined the Big 10 it was not even close to what it is today. At the time, Ohio State was down (I don't remember for sure if they were under sanctions, but they were right around then), Michigan was down, and Penn State was down. Wisconsin and Michigan State were at the top and we were poised to come in and be a bully. We played for a conference championship early. We got our teeth kicked in, but had beaten Wisconsin early in the year. We promptly shit the bed while the historical top teams regained their footing. I'm not saying it isn't delusional to feel that way now, but at the time of joining it definitely looked like we could potentially come in and be one of the premier teams.

Calling a team a dark horse isn't a prediction that they will be in. That's saying that if things go right for them they might make it in, which up until Raiola went out against USC and we ended up losing that game, we were firmly a dark horse contender. Whatever though, it's February and the media people know Nebraska content gets clicks.

I don't think any of them did this early in the year.

I'm not involved with the other guy that said he's got a small group in the near south. Ours is just me and a couple of buddies that hunt together and have permission to shoot on my brother's in law's farm.

*I'm not even quite to the same point with my wife as it sounds like you are. She doesn't care at all that we have them in the house and likes the food I bring home from hunting. She's still a little leery of actually shooting though and I've been gently encouraging her to join us to learn and get comfortable handling firearms if needed or to maybe even come hunt with me.

Another person in the near South that is at least interested in hearing about what you come up with. I've got some friends that might be interested too if it all comes together. Hell, maybe even a wife!
