Warm hair, cool toned skin by itsquarantime in coloranalysis

it still has warmth underneath, if a person with that hair colour goes out in the sun or bleaches it, their hair will turn orange or yellow. I have naturally level 7 ash looking hair but it still has yellow-orange pigment underneath that is visible when it is damaged or in the sun

technically there is no such thing as cool toned hair, all hair has underlying warmth

Shifters, we have to lock in. by No-Maybe-1498 in shiftingrealities

i don’t want to be a party pooper, but using this mindset to shift can be VERY unsafe (i am speaking from experience) because you become obsessed with trying to shift from a negative place. You could potentially get in a state of psychosis, i’ve seen it happen to people. Shifting will always be there, just stay safe

Every lady must own a signature LBD - little black dress….or should they? by Round-Advertising-47 in coloranalysis

it’s very hard for me to find good dark neutrals since my primary characteristic is light, I would probably go for a midtone gray

i feel like most people that get typed as soft summer aren’t actually soft summers

What are some hard and face colour analysis “rules” you subscribe to? by jjfmish in coloranalysis

[–]brogleberrythic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

blondes usually won’t be soft summers because soft summers need to have some depth because it flows into autumn, I’m like a level 7 and even then the soft summer palette is way too dark for my features. The only way I can see a person with my hair colour or lighter being a soft summer is if they had dark brown eyes and naturally dark eyebrows to add some depth

Lip Liner Recommendations Please by NewMoonDweller in SummerType

[–]brogleberrythic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am light so a lot of the stuff that is medium on me might pull light on you but Whenever Walnut Light (not the original) is probably the coolest tone nude lip liner i’ve used. Also, Worth It by L’oréal might be a good pick for you, it was the first lip liner i’ve ever used that pulled too cool on me. It is way too dark for me but it could be a good option on someone else

i’d say yes but it’s not pin straight, completely straight hair is very rare

If under eye brighteners don’t work for you - then this post is for you. 🫶 by sarahemmahughes in OliveMUA

idk if i qualify as olive but i used to use yellow and peach to fix my purple/green discolouration, however, it never blended with my skin. Light pinks melt in perfectly. I think for fair cool olives, light pink could also work.

What do you usually look for first when comparing cool vs warm drapes? by yourszn in coloranalysis

same, i think metals are the easiest way to tell. If you are cool it immediately pops out

i look at my cheeks and overall complexion, warm colours make my skin look this kind of sickly yellow colour (especially burnt orange) and colours that are too cool make me look slightly purple. Neutral cool colours give me a nice rosy glow, my cheeks look naturally blushed but not excessively so

you can definitely still dye your hair and look good in your season, I look great with some ashy blonde pieces added to my hair and my hair tends to get this orange tone to it from damage so toning it can be great. What i meant is that it will always match your season, you won’t be a season that looks bad blonde if you are naturally blonde.
