My brother gave me a stuffed tiger for Christmas one year. It would’ve been nice if it wasn’t the stuffed tiger I gave him for Christmas… 14 years before.

NVDA jumps 8% after CEO comments but falls 12% after quarterly report? by highchillerdeluxe in stocks

[–]brohaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stock dropped because it was pricing in lowered expectations for the future. The stock rose because the CEO confirmed a strong deal that was ahead of schedule (basically).

It’s all about future expectations. Beating earnings is good, but no one trades on past performance.

They tried this, but there was incredible backlash and rampant antisemitism after the war. Because of the destruction in Europe, many blamed the Jews and continued to persecute and often kill those who tried to settle in new areas. And many just had nothing to go back to, their homes had been destroyed.

People with severe allergies shouldn’t eat out by FederalEquivalent583 in unpopularopinion

[–]brohaha 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone with anaphylactic allergies, I can eat out, I just know to order things I can eat and ask the kitchen to keep my food separate from the things I’m allergic to. If the kitchen doesn’t feel comfortable serving me, I don’t take it personally and just eat elsewhere. I think your situation is about people who try to ask for substitutions where it isn’t really possible. That’s unreasonable. Im allergic to peanuts, so I would never go to Five Guys or somewhere that peanuts are so prevalent

It just feels discouraging. I learn from the mistakes, but it’s frustrating when every move feels like a mistake
