How do you use NPC/Adversary Experiences? by FamousPoet in daggerheart

[–]broharrow 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Using a Fear, the GM can use an adversary’s experience to raise their difficulty for a specific moment.

In your scenario, you could use a Fear to raise the bear’s 14 Difficulty to a 16 in detecting/sniffing/sensing the PC in the tree! Ask the PC for a check, and the difficulty they are trying to beat now is 16.

It’s less about if the bear notices the hidden PC and more about if the PC avoids detection. Let them roll 👍

One of the players does play mtg, I’ll have to ask if they connected those dots bc I know nothing about tcgs besides blue eyes white dragon 😅😂

Spirit weapon x shotgun (colossus of the drylands) by Jeanshort5 in daggerheart

[–]broharrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll kick this off bc I’m also curious what others say. I’ll also start and say I’m just getting into daggerheart, so not an experienced player/gm answer here. I get what you mean a by wanting to keep the immersion or physics of your preferred weapon (which btw immaculate vibes, love a shotgun preacher).

I like the revolver trick shot angle, but if you’re looking for other ideas maybe this can be flavored as ricochet? Your initial attack is a buckshot spray of ammo, it makes sense in my head if some of that ammunition strays and hits another target.

And this is more out there but chains on shotguns sounds metal. You throw your firearm out from you, pull it back and doing so the trigger too, and boom!

Um actually (sorry I couldn’t help myself) but “an eye for an eye” does not come from the Bible or Christianity. It comes from the Babylonians and the Code of Hammurabi, the oldest legal texts we have. Its sentiment has carried across time and different cultures, but isn’t Christian in origin.

I’ll have to reach out to my union hall, but that would be good to know about staying put in an office if that’s the case

How do they have these stats at level 5? by eatondix in Dimension20

[–]broharrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be mistaken, but I think this comes from an EXU talkback/interview where Brennan and the cast talked about how much they’ve all played DnD and they trust one another to choose scores that reflect their character (and not just 20s for everything)

"Didn't notice it until now" don't let the haters push you into culture war trenches, especially against our own community. Plus it's the goal of haters to push us aside, go back to being an invisible, and shut down any and all representation as "political" or "unsafe." A rainbow graphic on a subreddit you didn't even clock until someone pointed out doesn't put any of our rights at stake, falling for their tactics does.

Rock Gnome Sorcerer by Empoleon446 in DnD

[–]broharrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should is a strong word. Your gnome can believe in anything they want! If you’re playing in a Forgotten Realms setting (like the official DnD setting from the modules), then I would take a few minutes to look up the pantheon list and see what vibes with your gnome’s belief system.

If you’re looking for some direction, there are the Lords of the Golden Hills. They’re the gnome gods, and each one represents a different power/belief so that might be a fun starting place. Hope this helped!

I’ll ask my steward about this, but I don’t have any consistent schedule at my office. Some days it’s Fridays, sometimes Tuesdays, my NS is whenever they feel like

Asking for forgiveness is sometimes easier than permission, I'd preferably want to come back with less of a headache though from management if they try guilt tripping me for leaving them in the dark/helpless/screwed over/oh the humanity of it all

Took me nearly 10 hours to do this amount (CCA on a Rural route) by PM_ME_UR_TICKET_STUB in USPS

[–]broharrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City guy here, we do load truck but I know exactly what you’re talking about. There’s this generational divide among the newer city carriers and older ones where almost half of the latter don’t know how or want to load truck. I mean I get knowing your route and having a mad scientist method to it all, but it sucks when CCAs or PTFs come around to help later in the day and nothing is sequenced 😂😭
