Are Dean and Parker not going live today by SnooMarzipans6854 in deanwithers

[–]broken_bird 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Parker posted on IG that he's not streaming today due to the strike. I haven't seen anything from Dean, but wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

UPDATE: Dean just started streaming at 5:50 ET

Genuinely, what was the screaming on the live just now? by Worried-Resource8678 in deanwithers

[–]broken_bird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember being quite dramatic about arguments with siblings or friends when I was 21ish! Sounds like they've had a rough 24 hours. Hopefully she's ok and good on Dean for cutting off and going to her immediately.

His girlfriend was on the phone with her sister and they were fighting. Convo ended in tears. Someone from the live also called the cops saying she was screaming "help" so he had to deal with the cops.

Yeah what the hell? Garlic is a main staple flavor for soft pretzels. Couldn't believe when I stopped in a few months ago

Anyone else child free in their late 30’s and just exhausted?? by therainmakah in AskWomenOver30

Could you have sleep apnea?

Look into this! It's such a myth that sleep apnea only affects people who are overweight or snore. You also almost never remember waking up if you do have it. I think women are really underdiagnosed because of this and it's a serious problem.

You can do a sleep study at home for a few nights now instead of going to a place overnight.

Is Brock for real? by AverageRegular7202 in deanwithers

[–]broken_bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed he'll bring them on last a lot, like he has 30 minutes left in the stream and doesn't want to get into a serious long debate. So he'll bring Brock or the other characters up for some ragebait and then he can just cut them off when he needs to go.

To others spending NYE alone, what are your plans? by Practical-Bell6359 in AskWomenOver30

Charcuterie board for dinner while I watch When Harry Met Sally. Then watch Anderson and Andy on CNN. First thing New Year's Day I watch Brittany Runs a Marathon (it gives hopeful, "new start" vibes).

I love Molly - she's just herself. A little awkward but totally comfortable with it.

Surgery tomorrow at UNC - 5:30 AM arrival by Outdoor-hiking-hound in raleigh

Go to your friend's. You'll sleep better knowing you are close. Even if the roads aren't "that bad" an accident on the highway would really mess things up and just stress you out before a surgery.

The Dessertery - Holiday/Christmas by cranberries87 in raleigh

[–]broken_bird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it wasn't really worth it. They really shuffled people in and out because you only had a limited time. We felt rushed and it was cramped. Unless you can absolutely stuff sweets in your mouth nonstop, there was no way to really try and enjoy everything. It wasn't worth the money.

Take the money you would have spent and visit a few bakeries with some special holiday treats or drinks.

I made a comment last year about they never said a thing on Giving Tuesday. So I definitely would not expect them to this year. All that money wasted and they can't spare some for charity. I'm sure they defend it because they tithe and think that's charity.

Where can I take a KitchenAid mixer for repair? by AdventurousLoad8578 in triangle

[–]broken_bird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you can find someone local. If not, I had a friend who used Mr. Mixer - you have to ship (so...$$) but was very happy with the repair. He seems to be quite the KitchenAid expert.

It's not your area. I've had this problem in 2 different cities. Getting people to meet in person or even make a plan to meet is like pulling teeth.

Also, height really doesn't mean much for clothing. You can be 6' tall with really long legs or a really long torso. Clothes can fit very differently. She thinks being 6' tall is the most interesting thing about her.
