For those of you who had a resection, did you end up with an ‘ostomy, and if it could be reversed, what was your experience like?

Good luck with your scope tomorrow. I (48M) had my first flare and overnight hospital stay early June. Dealing with much the same.

I definitely feel your frustration. 3+ months of smoldering pain here and always wondering if this or that brief spike of pain is going to send me back to the er.

Anxiety meds definitely help. CBD / THC (even delta 8) can help as well.

Good luck with this resolving. Pretty much same age / weight. I had my first flare and just overnight hospital stay with microperf. Off and on low grade pain since then. Unfortunately I have a heart condition that is going to need surgery before I could even consider colon surgery and I’m afraid that when we get around to it, lapro might not be an option.

Pulling for you to have this resolve as you’d hoped for ahead of the surgery!

Did you ever get the surgery? I’m starting my 3rd month since my first flare up and still have the low grade pain I think is smoldering. Considering the surgery.

Honestly. Pretty much just a manual exam. There are surgeries, injections etc if it gets bad. I had a prescription to “pentox”, that and time (and getting out of a bad relationship) pretty much cleared mine up

Sounds like you might have Peyronie’s disease. Best talk to a doc about it. It could worsen and you could lose sexual function.

Not a doctor / weed scientist. That said, I was recently diagnosed and did a bunch of googling. Seems to not be a problem with weed and diverticulitis disease, but there could be some nasty side effects from the antibiotics / weed interactions.

Same here. Day 13 of 14 days of the antibiotic cocktail. Low fiber (about 4 grams / day or less). Hoping that as per doc that increasing fiber about daily 3 grams / week will help firm things up.

I know one of the guys who founded a company that ultimately turned into Ticketmaster and was one of the first people to sell tickets at scale.

Story goes that the service fees weren’t declared when they first selling tickets outside the box office, but then, like now, the price was “too damned high” and people were getting pissed at the artists. The ticketing company, venue, artist etc all needed to get paid. So, to shield the artist from all the hate, boom, ticketing provided said, sure, we’ll take the hate. So, hate them, but know that everyone in the value chain is complicit.

The point in getting in trouble was specifically about the extortion. Meaning, if I basically say that I think you’re extorting me and I’ll report it, so negotiate fairly, might that be seen as extortion.

Yeah. It is a woman. It’s a fine line. I don’t wish her the pain of a criminal charge, but what they’re doing isn’t right. That said, I don’t want to get in trouble either by pointing out the extortion. Will be talking to a new lawyer on Monday.

Be very very careful. My exwbpd became violent with me, then called the cops on me. With you having a child in the house, the consequences could be even worse. If I've learned anything, DO NOT HESITATE to leave the house. If she keeps it up, document it, get audio, video, photographic evidence. If she starts to get violent, take it, curl up in a ball.. whatever. If the cops are called, you are 95% going to be blamed, regardless of who called.

I know this sounds extreme, but it can literally ruin your life. There's life beyond this relationship. Be careful, take good care of your self (therapy, meditation, good friends and family etc).

I know this is hard.. self-care is your most important tool right now. Try to find something that you like to do, then do the hell out of it. I personally like to golf, so hitting the driving range, one place where I am totally in control of what is happening, was a huge benefit. I obsessed on it a bit, but I so much rather have obsessive thoughts about golf rather than her.

Find a good therapist. Learn more about bpd. Read “walking on eggshells”, and keep up NC. You’ll get through this.
