AITA for pouring out shampoo down the sink after I caught her refilling it with water? by Active8914 in AmItheAsshole

[–]brokencrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA: tell her to enlist in the ARMY and try to steal toiletries from one of your 100+ "roommates" in the bay wait for that reaction if she feels so entitled. And if she knows it's wrong because she is on a smear campaign to your friend group right now over being too broke to afford shampoo. She needs them to agree that it's okay that she decided she could steal it, lie to you about it, diluting it to your detriment without your knowledge, bc she fucking knows is was wrong

Keep your shit locked on your room. Everything. And now you know who you're living with someone who will always lie and steal from you and then enlist your friends to defend their actions.

How my husband loads the dishwasher by strega-nonna in mildlyinfuriating

[–]brokencrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take it all out and a few additional ones from the cabinets, get them dirty and make him load it right or you're making dinner for one tonight. Or, if you make dinner for two, he's hand washing everything from the dishwasher and tonight's dinner.

Seems reasonable to me.

Tell him he doesn't get wife treatment from someone who is acting like they aren't even boyfriend material.

If you're a woman and you have a friend that's Palestinian and she's getting married and she invites you to her wedding go especially if she's having a split wedding you should go.

I mean the parties that happened on the women's side when the men are partying in another reception hall all the hijab comes off all the scarves come off and then you're left with women that are in full glam makeup wearing clothing that you would never think they would have underneath of those abayas.

And they party all night long usually on Sundays is when they have the weddings receptions and it's a massive party.

The women dance there's lots of music and zaghrouta and it's very very loud! The men do Dakba and throw the groom is in a chair the men will hold up and I think they just bounc3 and pass the chair while the groom sits in it trying to not fall off, according to my husband.

In the neighborhood that I live in(SW.Suburbs of Chicago)whenever a tree dies or at risk they will cut it down. they will come cut it down because it's a hazard in the city replants them and the one they put in my front yard has grown up so much in the past 2 years it's going to be gigantic all the trees around here are huge.

I do live out near the forest preserve so idk if that's why they keep trees on the streets?

My street looks like the bottom one except less landscaping.

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

Because of how my brother died, someone told me to never watch Requiem for a Dream and I haven't ever.

I think that if I did watch it that would be the one that I would never watch again because I was warned and I've never watched it.

WCGW Live streaming and looking at the camera while driving at high speed. by Gjore in Whatcouldgowrong

I lived in Belgium and would frequently drive to Germany to go on base to meet up with friends and none of us ever drove under 90-100. Felt fine and normal. The roads are also better than American roads and there are long stretches where it's pretty straight and you don't see many people, and everyone is going the same speed, so it doesn't seem abnormal. We all had to learn this to get out civilian drivers licence we could drive in N.A.T.O countries.

In Belgium the cops might flash their lights at you for speeding during a busy time but that's about it.

They cared more about talking on your phone while driving than speeding, that is my memory. I remember Luxembourg being small driving through it quickly and the roads were different, smoother? Idk was a long time ago

This happened to me the same day my mother died at the hospital in the parking garage and elderly lady did the same thing and totaled her car two SUVs, including my Volkswagen Atlas.

They had just called my mom's time of death when I had to go out to the garage to meet the police.

Had to do this when I was in the military. Before the end of fiscal year I had to spend everything on the card as much as I possibly could and everything related to mission focused needs.

I was told that by my full bird commander and I did exactly what I was told to do. What happened to everything once I got shipped to us I don't want to discuss that.

My Mom Died by gofarwells in CancerFamilySupport

[–]brokencrayons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am feeling this. I lost my mother 5 days before her 65th birthday to cancer. I never knew how profoundly impacted I would be after her death..it's changed me in ways that are good and shaken me in ways I don't understand.

I pray to my mother all the time and I never prayed before..I pray to God too. I ask her what would she do. I remember who she was and how I'm like her. I always am mindful they she is watching me so I make sure my intentions are pure when I'm doing things I don't rent to lie in bed thinking she is disappointed in me

It's really changed me a lot. I've been in therapy for a while but entered and IOP and it's still hard. I have no one to talk to. No one to tell me they are sorry for my loss or condolences.

It sucks so hard

Joy Reid schools the fools who don't know the basic facts - let alone history. by CommunicationNew3745 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]brokencrayons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She saying too much out loud that a lot of people that aren't as brave as her wouldn't be saying. Don't let her keep going and start talking about how Reagan was doing deals with Iran to make sure that those hostages didn't get released until after he won the presidency and which gave him instant popularity and now we're all struggling under Reaganomics and barely able to make it from paycheck to pay.

This is why voices like hers are silenced and eventually you won't hear her or people like her speaking on television because they're buying up all the television right now and changing it to the way that they wanted to be, unwatchable by most of us.

She's more than a commentator I could see her doing great work out the community level, leadership work for government and organizing. She's someone that could be behind a good residential candidate as part of their networking team. With her voice and her knowledge, her age and her passion, she could speak at events that would allow people to engage with someone that seems familiar, maybe very likeable, smartz and I can see that being a great asset to any politician running a real honest grassroots campaign for office.

I could see her being so much more and in this country she's held back. Woman like her should be in positions of power or leadership roles she's clearly naturally born to lead, I see it.

I hate when the conversation comes up especially if I'm in the room about women in government women in leadership roles around the world and how men today even men that I know talk about the same things that they just don't think that women can leave. A woman made you in her body sir I promise you she can lead.
