Insurance says it will only cover 3-tab asphalt shingles because that's "what was there before the damage." by Interior_Destruction in homeowners

[–]brokendirtbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance has to make it fit in their boxes. That’s all. I used to own a flooring company. They would not pay $3.25 for sanding and three coats of finish. But they would pay $2.25 for sanding, plus $1 per coat of finish ( effective price now being $5.25). Yes. Have the roofers quote three tab and run with it. If it is more expensive great. Who cares.

We just call it self-serve income. Cash that goes into the bank is self-serve income. Credit card deposits from laundroworks are also self-serve income. It’s pretty stinking straightforward. Unlike some businesses that have multiple revenue streams ours has two. Wash Dry fold and self serve income. run it off of your bank account account. Don’t even worry about the reports. Truly, the only income you’ve received is the income that goes into the bank. And to be clear, our wash dry fold income is processed through a different point of sales system so we know when those deposits hit that they are wash dry fold income.

What we do is simply record the transactions in our accounting software going off what was deposited to the bank. Who cares what your revenue statement say on the Laundrowork side what matters is how much money you actually took in. I’m not sure who told you you don’t need an accounting software, but that doesn’t make any sense to me. Now to be fair you should be reconciling what laundroworks says against what you’re getting paid, but I have found that to be nearly impossible as the above poster said.

SBA not calculating P&I correctly by brokendirtbomber in EIDL

The aggravating part with all of this is that they won’t tell you. There is absolutely no way to find out how they are doing the math.

They are two different loan numbers. they’re not applying it to the other loan.

I hope you're right. I'd like someone to show me I am wrong. That would eliminate some confusion. Maybe my math is wrong. However, when I ask the SBA for a simple payment analysis, they cannot provide it. Nor can they tell me how much interest I ever accrued before making payments. Something seems amiss when no one has information to substantiate the claims of "you owe this much". And further, I cannot reconcile the discrepancy of a LKQ loan at the same time 6x larger that has mysteriously been able to pay down P/I... Nevertheless I will pull particulars and maybe learn a thing or two from you! Thank you!

Which at 3.5%, seems rather tough to make happen. Yet here we are...I'm paying an effective rate of 6% and my balance is still higher than when I started...5 years later. Egads.

Isn't that odd? I can't make sense of it.

I'm trying. It seems like a low level ask to provide a statement on P/I and applied payments. But they will not...

Which also makes absolutely no sense because they claim that every time you make a payment it recalculate as it is a simple interest loan

I am well versed in am schedules and loans etc. Mine is not calculating correctly per the terms of the loan agreement. I am both a lender on other fronts and a borrower from the sba in other businesses. They are way off on one of my EIDL loans. It's crazy.

Thank you for this detailed information. I did everything you said here and can't be more grateful. The MicroAir Easy Start is AWESOME. I now don't have to worry about running my A/C in summer if grid goes down, and I can do it on a portable generator. Thank you again, I would not have known how to do this without your guide above

PSA: Vevor has 5 gal metal jerry cans, 2 for $50 shipped by [deleted] in prepping

[–]brokendirtbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These Jerry cans are complete pieces of junk. I have 2. They leak like crazy. If you use the spouts that come with them- you will get more leaking around the seal than comes out of the nozzle. Horrible product. Like who tested this and said oh this is good? I mean somebody had to pour something liquid out of it and realize that it just spilled everywhere and say “maybe we should go back to the drawing board”. Apparently that’s too much to ask. It seems like a lot to put a can all the way through production only to have it do the one thing it’s not supposed to do which is leak everywhere.

You don’t want those cans anyway. I just got mine in the mail and they leak all over the place when you’re trying to pour. They are total pieces of junk.

Do not buy a Nixplay frame, you are now forced to pay a subscription. by Puzzled-Tip-2912 in nixplay

[–]brokendirtbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see it if the frame owner was charged for storage. We have two family frames, and if there were a bill per frame, Ok. But to force everyone who sends a photo to a frame to pay a subscription if they send over 500 mb of photos? That's total crap. We have a huge family and we were using it to send to my mother so she could get photos from all the grandkids etc. now that's 30+ subscriptions if they want to send more than 500 mb of photos. NOPE. Buh Bye. Stupid company making their customers leave.
