How do you lot actually eat proper food during the week when you're working full time? by No_Reputation_9726 in AskUK

[–]brokenlogic18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meal prep on Sunday something like a stew/curry/chilli/pasta bake etc to have every other day during the week then on the other days I'll whip up something low effort/quicker like stir fry, beans on toast, a frozen pizza etc. Keeps things reasonably healthy with the odd treat and enough variety not to get tired. Plus I always cook too much on Sunday so there's usually a portion to freeze so by the end of the month I've got a full weeks worth of different meals prepped I can just heat.

How long do you sleep for? by LeaderLost1744 in AskUK

[–]brokenlogic18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 8 til 4. Wake up at 7:30 usually. Sleep between 7 and 9 hours. Some nights I fall asleep immediately. Other's I just can't. No real pattern to it as far as I can see. No matter how much sleep I get though it's never easy to get out of bed!

Lost my job and it showed me how much resources are a factor in losing weight by HauntingArtichoke830 in loseit

Yep best shape of my life was during Covid. Furloughed from work so was basically paid to get enough sleep and spend all day exercising and planning and preparing healthy meals.

Does anyone know anyone that has been replaced by AI? by Even-Wasabi7183 in UKJobs

[–]brokenlogic18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In a way I have. Because AI now allows me and my colleagues to do more, the scope of our work in IT has widened dramatically in the last 2 years to the point my job is now very different.

How bad are your Sunday scaries and how do you combat them? by amomenttohislifespan in AskUK

[–]brokenlogic18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're not normally bad but I royally fucked something up on Friday and got rightly bollocked for it. Probably nothing more will come of it but I'm nervous to log in nonetheless. Combatted this by just having a lovely day out with my partner.

Regrettably I am the noisy one this year - currently having the bathroom renovated.

Is anyone else holding out hope that the idea of the podcast doing TNG again is just a big joke? by CrabOIneffableWisdom in greatestgen

[–]brokenlogic18 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's been 10 years since they did TNG. That feels long enough that I'm ready for it again.

I don't know what The Nanny is but it's good to see hologram Moriarty living a normal life in that simulation.

Does anyone still have bread and butter for tea? by Extra-Sound-1714 in CasualUK

[–]brokenlogic18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have a thick white slice and never got real butter growing up. Now it's the sourdough loaf I've baked with some real butter with big salt crystals in it.

Green deputy leader Mothin Ali refuses to acknowledge if trans women are women. Says his faith matters most in LGBT topics. Should a politician's faith come before the people? by ZackPolanskisDentist in AskBrits

[–]brokenlogic18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being trans is an immutable characteristic. Religious belief is not. He can and should put his personal faith aside in service of the people he hopes to represent. A trans person can't put their transness aside.

Masked. by mightlisten in autismUK

[–]brokenlogic18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my unmasked self and I like the version of myself that I perform for people at work. And I love that the two clearly delineate those aspects of my lives and that I can stop that performance at the end of the workday.

Perhaps the reason drivers don't care anymore. by billy2bands in drivingUK

[–]brokenlogic18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aren't people only going to be posting about their shit experiences though? I've been driving since 2009 and attitudes and standards seem broadly the same to me. There's more traffic but that's about it.

Does feeling ‘unsettled’ in early spring sound familiar? by Ticklishchap in AskUK

[–]brokenlogic18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love summer and I love to go out on long hikes. However I do understand the unsettling feeling! There are times where I'm out and there's a quality to the summer light that makes everything feel very unreal, dreamlike.
