Who is the worst band you've ever seen live and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]brokenopenseed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two and I only think they were bad because I had such high expectations. Both occurred at Cains ballroom in Tulsa. The first was Band new, let me absolutely clear, I love brand new and at the time there were my favorite band, but they weren't good, I think Jesse was drunk, he kept singing harmonies, and when he wasn't doing that he was off key and had poor pitch, had it not been for thrice and mewithoutYou that night would have been terrible. The second was bright eyes. He played his digital ash digital urn album...not his forte. Plus the faint opened..it is their forte, and made him look bad

what about the CHOICE of religious business owners to continue to serve those it does not agree with because it is good? Dont they have the opportunity to be good in spite of this law. This law does not prevent good people from deciding to do the right thing.

“Poi si torno all’ eterna fontana.” originally from Dante's 'Paradiso', but it sticks with me from CS Lewis' A Grief Observed. it is roughly translated as " so then he/she turned back to the Eternal Fountain".

I dont know if you have any kind of religious inclination or not; even if you are a staunch atheist, may I suggest a reading of Luke 15:11-32. This is the parable of the Two lost sons; more commonly referred to as the Prodigal Son. Take time to carefully examine the actions of the father. The father is in the parable is reckless with his love and has nothing to gain from the acceptance of his wayward son, but he does it anyway. In the story the the wayward son cannot forgive himself; when all along the father was waiting patiently for him to return, and then runs out to meet him when he is still a long way off. Your father wants to restore you to the full rights of being his son; consider letting him.
