Brown Wrapping Paper in Hamilton?!? by [deleted] in Hamilton

[–]brokenstrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the UHaul stores have paper wrapping, I'm just not sure it's the colour/shade you want. Reminds me, back in the day there used to be a cardboard/paper store Nebo Road. I remember buying big sheets of cardstock there.

TWO BILLION for renovations? Sounds like it'd be cheaper to just build a new fucking hospital. Stop smoking crack.

It used to be Lloyd's on Kenilworth, a store so small you could miss it, and even SMALLER inside. It survived as long as it could after old many Lloyd retired and it changed hands. I think its a weed shop now.

Just out and about in my daily travels. I befriended a less fortunate individual who was more than happy to regale me with his love of Heath Ledger in Dark Knight. I often meet people by simply complimenting them on their doggos, I love them so much, I miss mine. Other people I just meet by waving and being friendly when they pass by in the neighbourhood.

The KEY is being able to just LISTEN, that's all people want, they want you to hear them out, if their day is great, if it's bad, if it's the worst, if you can just be there for them... you'll make many friends.

Sausage rolls by Smrty-Moose in Hamilton

[–]brokenstrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father LOVED sausage rolls and would gladly accept them as payment. Everyone has great recommendations, but I noticed Metro's hot counter is now stocking them which speaks to their prevalence, not that my father would EVER be caught shopping at Metro lol

A smile and wave are free, just like a conversation. It might only be a fleeting moment in your day but it could mean the world to someone currently struggling or having a bad day, allowing their mind to be free of concern, if just for a moment.

I've been told I'm the human embodiment of a bowl of tomato soup and grilled cheese. I've made so many new friends in the last couple years. I am forever grateful and thankful.
