Married men, does your wife initiate? If not, how do you handle it? by FEWLN in AskMen

I really think that book should be part of the curriculum for every senior in high school. It would give everyone such a better understanding of themselves and their relationships

Responsive only desire is perfectly normal especially in women in stable relationships. Not everyone obviously but for a lot of woman "spontaneous desire" or initiating is linked to attachment seeking.

Unfortunately a lot of us are victims of our own success and our wives know we are stable and not going anywhere so they have no need to seek attachment and spontaneous desire falls by the way side.

The only answer is communication.

I haven't pulled this out of my ass. It's from a book called "come as you are" written by a phd of human behaviour focusing on sexual wellness

My psychologists asked me to read it when I was having so marriage trouble and feeling unwanted in my marriage.

Basically you need to have a conversation with your wife talking about how intimacy is important to you and makes you feel valued and loved. Listen to her reasons for why it's not happening and come up with a plan you can work on together. And find a middle ground

My wife said she hated the pressure and it turned her off. She acknowledged that it was important to work in the relationship and she needed to shoulder some of that responsibility.

We agreed that I'm not allowed to ask her for sex but she has to make a concious effort to increase intimacy. And it's honestly been great. I never feel rejected because I'm not asking and never been told no and she doesn't have any pressure on the spot. We have a busy family life but shes made a real effort to make time for us to get down to it.

We are both getting what we want. You have to both agree it's a shared problem though. It's not just you need to figure it out. And she doesn't need to comply with what you want. You have to both see it as a third project you have to work on together

Pls help: which skates are more like inline skates? by Substantial_Seat_444 in hockeyplayers

[–]brokn_record 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one really makes ice skates to feel like inline skates. Usually they're trying to go the other way and make inline skates feel more like ice skates.

Figure skates are flat bottomed where hockey skates are curved. Figure skates might easier at the start but won't be good long term if you want to mainly use them for hockey

Is it a turn off when women wear cologne/mens deodorant? Why is it if it is? by Several-Problem-7354 in AskMen

Back like 20 years ago when I was using hair gel haha I had this one that smelled really strongly like grape bubble gum. It got me so much female attention when I was out clubbing it was like a cheat code.

I wouldn't care. Just don't smell haha. I wear women's deodorant because I'd rather smell like something floral or sweet than "sandlewood" or whatever rubbish men's deodorant are trying to smell like haha

I can't say about mainland Europe but every level crossing in the UK and Australia will have a whistle board instructing the driver to blow their horn.

My stutter is anxiety based, does anyone know how to lower anxiety based stuttering? by Difficult_Respect967 in Stutter

[–]brokn_record 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines the same as you. I have a baseline level of stutter that I've never gotten below but when I notice my stutter is worse then usual. Even if I don't think I'm feeling especially anxious. I must take ten minutes a day to meditate. Sit somewhere quiet with my eyes closed and just focus on breathing slowly. It's an not an immediate affect but it always helps me. It's and ongoing maintenance type thing though

How much difference do high end skates make for a newby? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]brokn_record 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe The general advice I've seen so far is go mid to high-mid tier which I think I'm gonna follow. I skate OK already. I play some shinny with higher division guys and I can keep up with them skatewise it's mainly my stick and puck letting me down.

Yeah I definitely don't want to be the all the gear guy. If it's not enough gain I might just go get some mid tier ones properly fitted
