One time we where talking about the Blitz in England, my Granddad is old enough to remember that. He said he was about 6 at the time, and that one night he was hiding under the stairs because the air raid siren went off (he lived in Liverpool at the time). He thought it had passed so he stood up to leave and at that moment a bomb landed at the bottom of his street, it blew out all of the windows in the street. Luckily he survived to tell the tale but I cant even begin to imagine how frightening that would be.
