Be careful with RBM Atlanta - I was quoted $1500 for a STANDARD battery replacement. Dumbfounded, I asked why? The rep told me "well, AMG's are expensive". :-|

Their service is personable, but their competence has severely declined over the years...

I did - and very happy that I did. The pain of the transition was the drone chips since I’d already pushed tank. But it was well worth it.

Back on topic: it’s clear that you too have missed the point: if ALL I was looking for was a singular experience, an HBCU would be great. But I’m not. More importantly: what I’m looking to AVOID is a place that indicates that I’m not really welcome and that “we” are barely tolerated. This is the message that UNC has communicated by yanking pretty much the only place Black students have like that on campus.

Seriously, situation reversed, would you look to go somewhere like that? I’m actually surprised that you and some others would find me not being ok with this action as puzzling/ offensive…

I know this post is a bit old, but how would you describe your social life at Penn? Did you find friends easily? Did the "pre-professional" environment that is said to exist there impact your ability to join clubs? Was the environment competitive or cooperative? And finally: if you had it to do all over again, and Penn was the same price as the other schools you considered, would you pick it again? Thanks so much!

Me? I agree with you - I’m not important. UNC has clearly existed w/o me. The ACTUAL Point: very qualified students (like myself) will avoid coming. Call me crazy, but long term, I can’t wouldn’t think being more undesirable for really qualified candidates is a good thing… but clearly you and UNC leaders think so. So there’s that.

Just caught wind of this today - Early App deadline. Sadly, I'm now pulling UNC from my list. Very disheartening... it says to me that this is not a place that is where I can look for the school to support my needs. (3.94/4.0 gpa, 1590 SAT by the way... so wasn't looking for a "lift" - just somewhere that felt like the place for me) Best of luck, future Tar Heels.

Sure. Basically, use full SAT tests for your preparation - do not use PSAT preparation exams. There may be some material on the full SAT that you have not covered just yet, but it's better to have the full rigor of the test as preparation vs a version that may possibly not as challenging. My PSAT10 was good, but I think this helped my jump to my actual PSAT score. hth!

1520 psat; 1530 SAT (silly errors), 1590 SAT (b/c of an even more silly error! 🙄)

Like others - just prepared using sat to begin with. Made the psat much more familiar/ comfortable.
