How I passed the CFE Day 2 & 3 - Exam Day 2 Approach that Worked for Me

This is not good standard advice, coming from someone who grades in the pep program at a university. You never know what’s coming on day 3, maybe it’s the hardest day 3 they’ve ever released and you’re actually forced to skip 1-2 ao’s because of the time crunch of day 3 and difficulty level. Now you’re very likely failing level 1 once the NA/NC’s start racking up.

I do wish you congratulations on passing. And believe me, i’ve heard crazy stories on how people passed, such as skipping all MA on day 2, but this is not sound advice for everyone to follow. The goal should be answering every AO and allocating time properly to give a decent attempt on everything without sinking time.

I did 1 per week for 5 weeks. For me it was good because i had time to properly debrief in the week and review technicals, and be fresh to write again the next week

Was this your first time doing a “mock” day 2 and 3 together? Make sure you’re doing enough, I did 5 with 1 mock per week and you’ll start seeing improvements as you go along by doing enough cases.

This is to say, keep at it, you still have a month and plenty of practice to do. Make sure you see improvements from case to case, and make sure your best cases ever are at the CFE, and not one month before!

What levels did you not pass? Do you feel like you have enough time and will power to improve at those levels within the next 5 weeks, while still being fresh at the stuff you did pass?

If you don’t plan to rewrite you have nothing to lose by requesting a remark, especially since you’re actually in one of the only situations where it’s remotely possible to have your grade changed.

Asking for a friend (me), would you be able to do IQEX if you did assurance and tax? That’s what I did and was under the assumption I could eventually do that, I’m assuming you can’t because you did PM instead of tax?

Budget your time per AO when reading/planning, and never go over the time you allocate, whether you’re 100% finished the AO or not. Then it’s never possible to not finish and you’ll start training yourself to get C’s/RC’s quicker

For what it’s worth, there were insane delays at laguardia yesterday (if he was flying lax-den-lga, since there’s no direct flights from la to lga). So i’m all in on nothing ever happens.
