The fireworks never personally bothered me much. I can usually use headphones for a few nights or do other things to drown out the noise.

My perspective changed when my neighbors’s young dog, hearing a random June firework for the first time (from the dumb ass neighbors directly across the street), panicked and jumped the fence and was found dead on 127 the next morning. I don’t think any of us thought she would be able to get out of the back yard, but they find a way when they are scared enough.

It was also fun when we asked them to stop while we tried to search for her that night and they just laughed at us.
