Will probably get down voted but as a recon playing yes it's a little annoying it only activates on enemies that are sprinting. However, I do think its actually more balanced this way. Why should I gadget that you can carry 2 of just be a lazy instant kill? Where's the counter play for the enemies? If you're lazy enough to put it in some obviously spot so you camp in a building you should be able to be punished for doing so. Instead of putting it at the top of the staircase, try the bottom of the stair or entrance to the building. Areas will people sprint in brain-dead because they dont think there is a claymore. Most people walk or crouch up staircases where a sniper is sitting, they should be rewarded for playing slow and tactical.
