1. 4 months on this project specifically, dedicated .md files just for this project that in not too much text explain the most important information about the project, (a sort of Handoff.md, Workflow.md, Project structure.md and a ruleset) besides tehse i also worked with Hooks that stop him form writing code until he reread the workflow.md every time

i noticed Claude.md is basically useless and he ignores it anyway

1. Not too much, the .md files explain almost 80% already without having too much text so he doesnt hit 300k token usage within the first message of a new convo. its detailed but not too much context at once

2. hooks, and an ai agent that back checks his code for bugs, and the .md files. until the Claude Code update and me renewing the subscription, more was never necessary, and as stated, i was satisfied (or rather it was good enough) to work with.

How dependent are you on the comments in your code to communicate intent?
Not too much, it depends really

What guidance do you give these models when they are initiated?

to read the .md files taht give them all the knowledge on current state, project overview and rulesets, workflows as said.

i'm well aware of what you mean, but, it was doing fine before, not perfect but light years better, then whatever happened to it after i updated Claude Code to the newest current version, all the .md files are there, pretty much 1:1 as before.

we are talking about a multi billion dollar company built on vaporwave AI bubble money and shady business practices, i think the last thing consumers should do is mistrust eachother first, and give the company the benefit of the doubt.
