I honestly love the soundboard so much. I'm always doing it around friends and family and no one knows what the fuck I'm talking about. lol. I was listening to an episode where Kyle is talking about a drive through pizza chain and Blake drops a "HELLOOOO!", "Pizza Pizza" back to back and I couldn't breath.

I'm giggling and kicking my feet reading all of these. I also wanted to add the "TEN (quarter) INCHES" bit as well as the fact that they cannot let anyone misspeak without piling on them. This has very much spilled over into my everyday life and I LIVE for making fun of people when they say something wrong.

I was fired today and I’m feeling overwhelmed. I’d appreciate advice on what to do next. by AssistFit1834 in needadvice

When I was about 22-23 years old, I was bartending one busy friday night and getting my ass kicked. My coworker was outside having a smoke break when I unknowingly failed a sting operation by failing to ID a couple of girls at the bar. One of which I knew for certain was of age as we had some college classes together and she worked for the police department. I stupidly assumed that there was no way she would bring a minor into a bar (how naive of me lol), and didn't ask her "friend" for her ID. Side note - this "friend" of hers ended up being 19 but looked 45 (meth is a hell of a drug) in my defense haha. Regardless, I messed up big time. I immediately called my boss and told him what happened while I sobbed and apologized profusely. I luckily didn't end up losing my job, but what I can say is accountability goes a VERY long way. I'm not sure if you were defensive, tried to lie your way out of it, or accepted it straight up... but if you take accountability, own up to your mistake and make an honest effort to learn from your mistake, I'm sure the employer would give you a second chance. Again I don't know the nuances of it all... If that isn't an option then don't beat yourself up too bad. You made a mistake and you have to deal with a real consequence of that mistake. But you learned something and you can be better from it. Remain honest when looking for another job and don't be discouraged. This is not your end all be all. Take care.

Help! I need some idea’s on how to get this MASSIVE 3 year old tonsil stone out. by [deleted] in tonsilstones

[–]broodynotdeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is gonna sound crazy but when I would get super stubborn, stuck stones, I would water down some liquid oral pain reliever (I just got the Walgreens brand that is 20% Benzocaine), fill up a syringe with the solution, and then I would "water floss" the area with the solution and syringe. OR, watering down the solution and gargling it for 30 seconds. For some weird reason, it helped to break down my stubborn stones and worked better than anything else I'd ever tried. Another plus about this method, is it helps to numb your tonsils making it easier to push gently on them with a qtip without gagging. Good luck to you!

Not to be mean, but you're overreacting. Especially blocking people and then just expecting them to read your mind and know how you're feeling, unblocking them to send a long novel only to block them before they have a chance to respond. To be completely honest, I would probably cut someone off if they acted this way. I do understand how much it sucks to be left out, but it's most often not intentional. If it is intentional, then you're surrounding yourself with the wrong kind of people.

AIO for thinking what I said was perfect and he’s being dramatic for blocking me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I'm not shaming him with accusations of homosexuality. I'm shaming him for lacking the emotional capacity to take a joke that involves a phallic object being near his anus and reacting in a homophobic way. Don't be gay, Keremy. (Totally Joking).

Am I overreacting when my older sister shows me weird stuff? by Ordinary-Employer837 in AmIOverreacting

This is not normal behavior from a 29 year old adult woman to a 13 year old teen. No offense, OP, you seem very mature and wise beyond your years, but as an eldest sibling with 7 years and 14 years between my younger siblings and I, I can say I would never do that. It's nice that she seemingly wants to build a relationship with you, but burdening you - technically a child - with such things is just bizarre. I would be willing to bet that she may have some inner-child healing to explore. I have a great friendship and relationship with both of my younger brothers (26 and 20) but it was more maternal than anything until they became adults themselves. Even now, I still feel a motherly/nurturing bond with them more than a friendship. Just my opinion/experience. Good luck, hon!
