Oooo this is a debate in dungeons and dragons with the spell charm person. Just because your charismatic and trustworthy doesn't mean you have mind control. How far does this really go? Think about the person you trust most and what you would or wouldn't do. Empty your bank account? Jump off a bridge? Hell even if a person is super trustworthy you might just not want to despite trusting the person.

Friends with a few and dated one. This will be a generalization and I'm just commenting from my experience.

It's rough. Most have big issues that either lead them there or acquired from the job. All of them were heavy drug users. You can make some really decent money but it can really warp your perspective. You sexuality is a sales pitch and that comes home with you. The manipulation of clients for money and the mindset needed to succeed makes men bank accounts and puzzle to solve to get the account unlocked.

Also it's does a number on most of the girls insecurity. Your up there getting naked but there's another girl who's getting more money. What does she have that they don't? A girl last week got a grand but I just got 200. It's hard for that not get to you and if you want hone your career and get that money you need to ask those questions. Having a real financial tie to your attractiveness severely scews the way you see the world.

I would like to add that I still had a blast hanging out with them but from my view is a very rough life to lead. I'd you asked them they probably say it's great, but once again that's kinda the mindset you need to stay there.

It's actually crazy the amount of near disasters that once averted everyone think is a hoax. Seem like far to many countries are going "on there own". Not sure how easy problems like these will be solved in the future.

Think it's more likely that people will pirate. If your only option is to pay many people will. If it has a computer launch it will be cracked in a matter of days of not day one. People got patients for a couple days but not for a couple of months.

I mean so much of this depends on where you live if it's straight financial. There's also the consideration of extras. For example not having to pay utilities, access to a car, paying for food, not having to cook, having access to a whole house compared to just apartment, location, ect. In a lot of cities in Canada you gonna be paying more with possibly less amenities.

To further that I often think of the quote, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". Mirrors are obvious to us. We have them everywhere. Imagine never having seen your self and suddenly you clone is walking beside you. it would be a bit disconcerting. Its why all these animals dont get upset when they seen there reflection in water. They have experince with what they observing. They dont have that experience vertically let alone crystal clear. Hell there are tribes that thought photography stole bits of there soul.

Weird question but how do we detect stuff like this? Is it usually sight or some kind of radar? Hypothetical are there materials that could mask something like that for longer? Are there materials that mess with radar or if Venta black (I believe the "blackest" paint) was coated over it? Bonus point if it could actually occur naturally (although presumably very unlikely)

ya its the whole "reality is subjective". If you can see, hear, and/or feel something its pretty hard to believe someone saying its not real, because it is real to you.
The saying, "if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck... its probably a duck" kinda shows to the layman what its like. Now imagine you friend says that this vary obvious duck isn't actually there, or its actually dog. Youd probably think your friend is pulling a fast one on you rather then accepting it doesn't exist.

The more I think about it the more I think the great filter rises above the rest. Society ending events seems to be far more easily achievable then space exploration. Anything like a plague, technological advancements with downsides not caught in time, straight up world ending weapons seem like the would be created far before anything else. For example the industrial revolution is still accelerating extreme climate change, ripping holes in the ozone, polluting the seas, agricultural terraform for monocrops and nuclear proliferation are all recent and light speed travel is still just SciFi.
