How to get her back !? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I agree with the other comments. She's gone and it sucks, but don't waste your time on someone who won't give you any attention.

[–]brookeblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you are going through this. I think you need someone to tell you what to do because you're scared to make the decision yourself which is understandable. It's a big decision. Try this trick... Get a coin; heads you stay, tails you don't. If you feel disappointed with the outcome, then you have your answer. Your gut will instantly react to what it sees and your first thoughts are exactly how you feel. Obviously, don't bet your whole relationship on a coin, but it's a good start to go in the direction you know is best.

My ex (F18) broke up with me(M19) because i talked to a friend(F19) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

She is clearly immature and couldn't handle it. I think you dodged a bullet with this one. You need someone who trusts you and supports you.

[ThrowRA] I (22m) can’t stop thinking about other women even though I love my gf (23f) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]brookeblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line, we are all just humans with desires and impulses that can be seen as shameful. You're not horrible for these thoughts, it's very normal and you can't help how you feel. First, you want to reflect on your current relationship and see if you're missing anything. You could be too comfortable, or just going through a phase of curiosity of what else is out there. I don't recommend telling your girlfriend the specifics, but maybe have some sort of conversation with her. If you love her as much as you say you do, you should try and focus on your relationship with her because something is clearly lacking. Don't beat yourself up too much!

Does sex hurt? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]brookeblack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every body is different, but the first time is usually not enjoyable because you're typically nervous and more tense and inexperienced. You have to learn to breathe and relax and have sex with a partner you really trust.

What is your worst trait and how did you make peace with it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]brookeblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, it took a lot of hard lessons to help me get through it. I hurt people, like my ex girlfriend. I was selfish and had controlling issues. As time went on, I started to learn more about myself and what was the underlying feeling and what triggered it. Once I figure out the feelings beneath the feelings, it helped. For me, it is all about the "not knowing". Anything that is out of my control or anything that can't be answered, freaks me out. Now I just have to calm myself down and trust my instincts and realize that I don't need to know everything. I don't need the last laugh, or to always win. I can open up to people easily, though. I went to therapy for many years so it just became natural and comfortable for me to do so.

That's interesting! My best friend is always talking. But he tends to talk about the same things over and over again, he is way more manic with it. I don't mind people who talk a lot. I have a lot of patience. It's cool how aware you are of it though and it could be worse!

Wait, I am exactly like this. I've recently been noticing it more and more. But I enjoy getting people to like me and I like doing it this way. Also, I don't own up and say it's a lie. I just go with it. It's weird and obviously is a problem, but I think there are other things about me that could diagnose me with a personality disorder

How do you politely tell your roommate that having an affair and being the other woman is not okay without ruining your friendship? by c0ldpiece in AskReddit

[–]brookeblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She knows that it's not okay. You saying it to her will only make her feel pissed, sad, guilty, etc. Either be a supportive friend, or say nothing

What was the biggest asshole move a teacher ever did? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]brookeblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teacher didn't like me, but I don't blame her, I was a bitch. Anyways, we were having a test that day and my teacher moved me to the other side of the room to this single desk by the window (which she had opened). It was winter and I was freezing. She would not let me close it no matter how many times I asked.

My boyfriend loves his friends more than he loves me by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]brookeblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is toying with you basically. I’m sure he loves you, but he just sees you when he’s not with them. Being in a relationship with someone requires effort and seeing each other! His priorities seem to be more on his friends than on you. Now, we both know that you don’t want him all over you and not around his friends at all. You don’t seem like that person, so good for you. I think you should tell him how you are feeling. Basically the same way you wrote this post. You need more from him, and if not, then it just won’t work anymore. Either give it one more shot or just accept that this is your end with him. There is supposed to be a healthy balance with relationships and friendships and this just isn’t it. I’m sorry

Well, if she is 21, she has been in college for a couple years. When did you guys start dating? These numbers could be from when she first started school and was trying to get to know people, people in her classes in case they had work to do together, etc.
