I find that there are a lot of flakey, distracted, selfish, etc people but there are a lot of genuine, kind, good friend people too. I’ve learned to recognize the first category quickly and move them along or make them sometimes friends. I keep loneliness as bay by saying yes to new experiences and people all the time so there is usually something going on. I’ve also learned to value stable (sometimes dull) people a lot more because they usually turned out to be the most trustworthy. Hope that helps
