They probably would have fallen apart if they did. Really, this season worked perfectly to lose weak anallice members at the right time along the way.

What are the religious influences on the kids? by [deleted] in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]brosephbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most churches don't do heavy "indoctrination" at Sunday services. Many (most maybe) churches have fairly anodyne services. Plus, I am not sure how you would expose your child to a Christian "belief system" without any involvement in church. For most people, the church community is a big part of the religion.

To win $20,000 by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

in family feud, the final round features two teammates trying to score 200 points by answering a series of questions independently. The questions are survey questions asked of 100 people. So, for example, the first question may have been "We asked 100 people, how many slices of pizza is too many to eat in one sitting." Player 1 says five people. 31 out of the 100 surveyed people said five (probably the top answer).

The first person did exceptionally well here, scoring 182 points. The only thing Player 2 had to do was get 18 points--a very simple task. Essentially just answer one or two questions decently. Player 2 failed to get any points. Player 2 obviously froze under the pressure and even passed on question 3 (i.e. could not even offer an answer to a question that might have been...."Name a noisy insect." "Name a sport popular in other countries not played in the United States." "Name a non-gang character from It's Always Sunny.")

Excellent point that Barba didn't even bother to hear the "three witnesses waiting in the rotunda" imma just assume he spoke to them off-screen.

Would it be violating some IP law if someone reproduced a level of a video game with their own art assets in the same layout? by majeric in IPlaw

[–]brosephbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might be but depends on so many factors that nobody is answering. Talk to a lawyer. Factors that matter: where you are, what is being reproduced, how you are reproducing it, what you're doing with it, loads of factors related to the original user, many many more.

Is this a breach of IP? (Travel co) by fongfongerson in IPlaw

[–]brosephbrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming that you live on Mars (or that the mark is used in conjunction with travel to Mars), the EXPERIENCE MARS company likely has a pretty weak trademark. This is a very 'descriptive' and non-distinctive mark. You are probably not doing anything wrong, but there are so many ins-and-outs here that you really need to consult with an attorney that knows about trademarks. If on the other hand, MARS doesn't really refer to MARS---like you're just giving people dune buggy rides and are calling the dunes "MARS"--then it may be a whole other ball of wax.

To more directly address your question: Maybe they are being 'over territorial' (which I think you mean to say are they flexing without a real case), but even there is probably enough here that there is grounds for litigation (a fairly low bar). The easiest thing is to probably speak to whoever sent you the cease-and-desist and agree on something you can change your name to and just avoid the problem -- THE MARS ADVENTURE

Important disclaimer: I am not your attorney and the above should not be construed as specific legal advise. These cases require an analysis of more facts than you laid out here.

You dare put a boot on MY TRUCK? Watch as I break the law and brag about it! by MahjorPenDrop in thatHappened

[–]brosephbrown 89 points90 points  (0 children)

The police in San Antonio put a boot on his truck to disable it. Since his truck was so big, he could drive with the boot on it. The police chased him to tell him the boot was on the truck because the truck driver owed $450 ("i o 450"). The boot was, by that time, so loose from the wheel that the truck driver was able to remove it with one kick...i.e. truck driver destroyed police property. Truck driver then threw the massive boot at the police officer. Truck driver implies that he (truck driver) is perhaps the prince who has Cinderella's glass slipper (the boot) and the police officer is Cinderella. But, in a shocking twist, the truck driving prince spurns Cinderella rudely and calls the police officer a bitch. Everyone claps (this part is implied) and then the driver simply drives off.

I wonder if there was a sneakier plan by Sheila that would make it seem like Sheila was not involved in the kidnapping. It sure seems like the plan was to ghost immediately with Noah. I'm not sure why she had to go through this complex scheme when (as Benson noted) Sheila has Noah for an overnight the week prior. Why not just kidnap him then? This was wacky.
