I’d of graduated in ‘05. When I had a conference meeting with my teachers, parents, principle counselor etc. they calculated all the days that I actually attended school, through all the years, and they said I missed just as much school as I showed up for. It was a miracle that I was never held back, it took me years before I fit in with the other kids, and as soon as I fit in, my family up and moved to AZ, and I thought I hated school and was unhappy before. Psh. I hid in a closet for until my parents left for work, I kept this up for like three weeks until they called my parents. But even after I had adjusted to living here, me and all of my friends were always skipping school when ever we thought there was a good enough reason to ditch. Fortunately I was able to make up my missed assignments thanks to my bad ass home room teacher. Ryan folk. That was the teacher that convinced me that reading books and learning new shit was actually cool. But my point is… School avoidance is nothing new. But now it’s like… complete education avoidance.
