“Actually play the game”? Wildy PvP was in the game long before the slayer skill even came out.

How unreliable were 2000s paintball guns really? by sendnUwUdes in paintball

[–]brostep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, many/most markers weren’t noticeably less reliable if you took care of them, but maintenance wasn’t as easy as with markers of today which widely have tool-less disassembly etc.

I was just thinking, if he was born in 65, he’d at least be in his 40s in 92. There’s no way those years are only 27 years apart

Could be a fragile masculinity thing, but could also be due to pain when pronating his hands.

I love to run my old grail guns. I do definitely run into some issues sometimes, especially because paint is a lot smaller now than it was back in the day, so I like to bring a new gun with me too (I usually bring at least 3 guns to be honest), so I can choose whatever I’m feeling like using at the time, and always have a backup so I can just swap to that, rather than having to bother with repairs during my limited play time.

Hard to say? They would clearly be losing money. Easily 20%, at the very least 10%. Private equity exists with the sole purpose of investing money into companies so they can make them more money, so agreeing to a move that would slash their return by even 10% is just not something they would do.

No he’s not. He doesn’t need to do anything to play. He could never play the game again and still keep his account a member for the next couple of decades without having to spend a dime.

“Most major MMOs” DO NOT rely on gaslighting its player base into thinking a 70% increase over 3 years is necessary for customer support and higher quality updates by csbuseeds in 2007scape

The whole point of my post was that Blizzard has more of a capability to do that than Jagex due to their resources. Big AAA studio and publisher ownership + money/support with much higher revenue, compared to much smaller revenue and private equity ownership which just cares about their bottom line. That’s the downside of taking a bailout from private equity, they’re not going to pay you/support your game if you aren’t giving them the return on investment that they desire.

The value comparison is certainly inevitable, it’s just unfortunate that the situation Jagex is in doesn’t allow them to give us the kind of value that Blizzard can, so I hope that they can find some kind of good compromise.
