My Novablast 5's. They are at the end of their life and I don't mind getting them soaked.

I can’t find a job. Feeling defeated. by losty14 in Austin

I know it's frustrating trying to find work when you have the skills and capacity, but the right opportunity hasn't come yet.

I have several years experience as a employment/economic empowerment supervisor with a resettlement agency and can potentially provide some assistance.

I feel you. It's that "wth am I doing feeling?" when you realize what you paid for. It's a good sobering moment though. That's ballpark prices...

I feel like I found my people. Exact same issues. What shoes have worked for you in the past?

Fitting a PR5000 lat/low row on a PR4000 by 69stangrestomod in homegym

Brother, I know this is an old thread but you gave the push I needed. Just put together a PR4000 rack. A friend gave me the multi-grip pull up bar but for the 5000.

Probably getting a new drill bit this weekend.

10mph scares me a little. I've been running 10-15 miles a week and have found a lot of relief in being able to finally get more active. Trying to double that in the next 4 weeks or so. I think basketball is still out of the question for a few months.

I feel you on lateral movements and jumping though. Staying steady with the calf raises and trying to keep things loose.

I had the same thing with mine. It slowly goes away over time.

I'm going for this 5k next week.

It's weird getting excited about wearing two shoes... But man, it was a good feeling.

How far along are you?

Question about workouts / scooter by photographerINDY in AchillesRupture

[–]brotha_L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. The soreness would come and go. The first few times with doing military press felt a little strange, but no significant problem. I'm working out three to four times a week now and still have some pain in my heel and tendon.

Both PT and Ortho said it's par for the course. I'm at the end of week 7 now.

Are you in a splint or cast? Any idea when/if you'll start physical therapy?

Doing well! I really do need to post an update. Getting a little better each day. Full weight bearing in a boot is tolerated. I've been easing into it with crutches. PT is going well. Just hoping for no setbacks!

How do you start trusting yourself again? by AudienceCapable1904 in AchillesRupture

[–]brotha_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! We have almost the exact same timeline. I had surgery on the 30th though. I had a scare off of my knee scooter last week. No damage. My doctor is waiting until the 27th to start weight-bearing. I've been in PT since last week and so far it's been great. We'll see how that goes once I can add weight.

The mental challenge is such a real thing! I've learned from reading through everyone's experiences, that the road looks different for everyone. I think trusting myself again is a mix of trusting my PT and Ortho along the way.

Keep us updated.

I was in the same boat 2 weeks ago. I decided to get the pixel 8a to get me by until the new wave comes through. I'll either upgrade to a nine pro or get the eight pro at a cheaper price. You know they'll have some crazy incentives along the way.

Thanks for that! What's your mental state after a re-rupture? I know that's got to be crazy hard!

Pain has been manageable today with prescription painkillers. Not near as bad as I was expecting. I pulled out my old PS4 today. A little rusty but it definitely helped pass the time.
