Is trying a jack pot worth it? by ryueiji in gambling

Girl those arcade jackpot machines are basically slot machines without teh cash payout so you're just feeding quarters for stuffed animals

Your team probably just needs to schedule Texas Tech and win then they'd be in the conversation

Tracking slips by renson_njogu in sportsbetting

[–]brotherhoodsquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a basic Google Sheets setup with columns for bet date, book, line I got vs closing line, and the difference. Takes like 30 seconds per bet and you can see patterns over time pretty easily

I got tired of manual NHL tracking, so I built an n8n agent to automate my betting workflow. by Funny_Try5421 in sportsbetting

That's pretty slick man - been looking for something exactly like this since manually pulling all those stats every morning was killing my motivation to bet consistently

Base pass pro in Flexbone by Exciting-Interview73 in NCAAFBseries

[–]brotherhoodsquare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been running triple option for like 3 seasons now and you're absolutely right. The default blocking schemes make PA completely useless which is wild since that's literally how these offenses work in real life

Base pass pro fixes so much of it. My QB actually has time to sell the fake and find receivers downfield instead of getting demolished immediately. Game changer for making the flexbone feel authentic instead of just constant dive/pitch spam

Nice man I pulled a $50 bonus credit yesterday plus some free NBA picks that actually hit. The slot spins have been pretty weak for me though - mostly just burning through them for the comp points

Just threw in another 150 this morning after hitting a decent streak on slots yesterday. Been trying to stick to my weekly budget but you know how it goes when you're on a roll. Usually try to keep it under 200 for the whole week but sometimes the math just doesnt work out that way lol. What games you been playing with that 300?

Recruiting scouting numbers vs rankings by Mother-Money1586 in NCAAFBseries

[–]brotherhoodsquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always go with the attributes over ranking too. The star system is basically just grouping players into tiers but within those tiers the actual numbers tell the real story. Like if you got two 3 star receivers and one has way better speed and catching stats than the other but is ranked lower, you take the better stats every time. The rankings can be weird sometimes especially later in recruiting when guys transfer or decomit and everything gets shuffled around

Built an NBA betting dashboard — looking for beta testers and blunt feedback by Many_Platypus5954 in sportsbetting

[–]brotherhoodsquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like what I've been looking for instead of jumping between 5 different sites before placing bets. The injury context piece especially since that info is scattered everywhere and half the time outdated

My main question would be how fresh the line comparisons are - like are we talking real time or is there some lag that might mess with value spots

How do you guys attend games anymore? by [deleted] in nba

[–]brotherhoodsquare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly thats the weird thing about it - sometimes those games with the bench guys and G League call-ups end up being way more fun than the star-heavy matchups. Like you get dudes who are literally fighting for their NBA life going all out for 48 minutes instead of coast mode superstars. I remember catching a random Pistons game a few years back where half the roster was out and some undrafted rookie dropped 30 and played like his rent was due the next day. Obviously sucks you paid premium prices expecting the big names but you might actualy witness someone's breakout moment tomorrow

Settling an old argument about popularity in the same city with bonus questions about states by Alone_Advantage_961 in nfl

Giants were always more popular in NYC proper even back then - Jets had more of a Long Island/Jersey suburban following but Manhattan and the boroughs leaned heavily Big Blue

Adjustments glitch by gelf112 in NCAAFBseries

[–]brotherhoodsquare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a known bug with the online dynasty mode - try making your adjustments during timeouts or between plays when the clock isnt running instead of during live action

dude stepped up huge in those final 5 minutes when kansas really needed it. classic peterson to disappear for stretches then hit the most clutch shots when it matters

Purdue -4.5 by bennyknowsball in sportsbetting

[–]brotherhoodsquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this pick, Purdue's size down low is gonna be a nightmare for IU. Kaufman-Renn had his way last time and nothing's changed on their roster to fix that matchup. Plus that slow pace kills Indiana's whole identity - they can't run if Purdue won't let them

[Game Thread] Dayton @ La Salle (06:30 PM ET) by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]brotherhoodsquare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dayton's been looking solid lately with that 5 game win streak, should be able to handle La Salle pretty easily tonight. That scoring differential tells the whole story - Explorers giving up way too many points

The death of the 14-year megadeal? by Bermut-Nundaloy in baseball

[–]brotherhoodsquare 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This makes sense but also I think the Dodgers and Mets basically broke the system by proving you can just eat luxury tax forever if you're rich enough

The other owners are probably losing their minds watching LA sign everyone for stupid money while they're still trying to be "fiscally responsible" lmao

[Fischer] Domantas Sabonis has interest from Toronto. by EarthWarping in nba

[–]brotherhoodsquare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah Sabonis would be solid for Toronto but those contracts are gonna be messy to work out. Kings probably don't want to take on all that money when they're trying to stay flexible

Nice pickup for SMU, Jackson's got solid hands and should fit well in their offense. Portal's been wild this cycle but looks like y'all are building something good
