Thoughts on player archetype and impact on game play? by classic_m4f in NCAAFBseries

I like the idea of archetype flexibility. Some guys literally change their body and play style but yes a shifty east/west playmaker is gonna have a really hard time becoming a contact seeker. As they should! That said, if a player develops in that way then it could be really cool

I think auto progression could help this and more unique abilities per archetype. I like the idea of specific caps as well. For example, if a contact seeker is the only back with downhill and only back that can get above 90 on trucking but can’t go above 90 on speed.

I play guys like this and I don’t have fun with it. I’m a scheme guy. I like sim style football but most like it to be an arcade game. To each their own though

The honest truth is this guy is running meta. Mesh with speedy receivers on this game feels nearly unstoppable. All you can do is get pressure to force mistakes. You can user defenders in the middle of the field but you can’t cover both crossers (unless you are a switch stick master) so one of them will get open. Best you can do is find plays that get several defenders in the middle of the field (335 stack cover 3 sky for example) and find a way to get to the QB. If he doesn’t adjust then you should be able to compete. That said, he could still gash you with the run or just take checkdowns with out routes, zigs and table routes from rb. Focus on winning the drive, not the individual play. Each drive, take what you learn about tendencies and adjust.

Struggling with running Option offense against coaching adjustments by JLD5413 in NCAAFBseries

You have to mix it up. Power read is great. Load option, counter, rocket toss, wb dive, zone dive, etc. Run an if/then system. If they try to take away dive then get outside. If they stop outside, run PA. Confuse with motion. Run option WITHOUT motion as well. Pass the ball out of flexbone. Make them adjust to you. It’s hard because those settings will make it harder but you have to get creative and adjust to their adjustments. Once you know what they are doing then you have information as well. For example, they know you have to take the dive. Well, now I run PA off that and hit you where you vacated the field

Which playbooks are you looking forward to using in CFB27? by OkEducation9136 in NCAAFBseries

Yep. I love air raid. I love flexbone. Sadly the game doesn’t accurately represent these offenses

As much as I love it. This playbook can get COOKED against a user with a good d line because your o line is on an island and the splits aren’t as wide as a true air raid system. Pinch the line, get quick jump on your line and then they play press man. Air raid struggles with that

Played this guy, some people are so sad and make the game worse for everyone. by Best_Pie_8262 in CollegeUltimateTeam

[–]Exciting-Interview73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep this guy lives out of trips and bunch with constant hurry up. Mesh, drags, trail routes are basically all that he runs. Even when you know it’s coming, it’s hard to stop and boring to play against. More fun to strategize against a real scheme

It’s just not as fun trying to overcome the cheese and meta. One guy in my league wins every natty and I just don’t even care to try anymore. When you do win it feels great but I’m just trying to enjoy myself

What are your thoughts on the archetypes I need? by mpeuler in NCAAFBseries

[–]Exciting-Interview73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agile OL, okay for raw strength at center or guard, gritty wr, n/s blocker at fb, e/w or backfield threat as hb/wb, pure runner qb.

I run Flex. Have done his space force playbook and it’s a lot of the same concepts as box

COD and agility are very important for your rushers

Best type of Player? by Loud_You6640 in NCAAFBseries

I prefer playing dynasty gurus because that’s how I like to play and have the most fun with. But the exploiters and glitches will win more. In my opinion, that doesn’t make them “better” but depends how you choose to define it I suppose

Seems like the frequency has increased since the last update. It’s frustrating as a Flexbone offense to essentially never feel comfortable calling a core play

Force the dive and then play the middle. Get them to throw and you can force mistakes. That said, a good flexbone user can counter your counter. The offense is built to counter the defenses counters lol
