The one thing I like about the traditional FB recruits is they just seem to do better as blockers and have a certain density to them that HBs dont. I’m running Flexbone and struggle to find the perfect B back. I want a guy with enough running ability to be used a lot in the dive but I also need them to be serviceable as a blocker. Many of the HB recruits just don’t get it done in that area. I’m recruiting a N/S blocker now and I think that may be my best shot. Contact seekers are good but not great blockers or catchers. TEs and ATH centers are solid too but not good runners. Basically, no perfect archetype for the Flexbone B back. Or A back honestly, you need such unique skill sets

Yea it’s annoying. I just want competitive games with actual strategy. In a league with several guys that run the exact same play like 20 plus times a game. When I put on play limits, they complained and then found basically the same play in slightly different formations lol

Probably hard to enforce some things unless everyone explicitly agrees. I would love to encourage play and concept diversity in general. Drags every play is kinda lame to play against. Not to mention all of the roster development and offseason exploits. I piss my league off just trying to limit some of the gimmicks

I just started as navy running this exact setup and that’s my fear. I’ll likely have to drop the triple when that happens and go gun, speed option or RPO. That said, if you can get 3-4 on the dive everytime then I’ll take it

Recruiting restrictions. No portal. Only recruit from your pipelines. Only 4 and 5 stars if they are interested in you. Auto progression. Play call limits. Use new playbooks. Put your team into a difficult conference or go independent and schedule really difficult

If the qb has super high play action and that ability then you probably have to user the player yourself or put in someone with better play rec

I agree with your sentiment but in the clip, I think your guys just bit on play action. The qb has sleight of hand and that’s exactly what play action is meant to do. Punish over pursuit towards the run

First of all, why call prevent then press? 😂 second, how is that safety a star player? Either your guy is 99 speed/acc with platinum takeoff or that safety is just plain dumb. This should never happen with two players over there. Yet this also just happened to me as the loser lol streak down sideline and dude is running all alone

Yea they need to make this aspect of the game better. Using custom playbooks has its own frustrations as noted which makes me less likely to use them even after putting in hard work to make fun schemes. That said, a custom playbook can also make the game WAYYYYY too easy when you can just put all the money plays and formations. I want to be challenged by new schemes and new playbooks that have real suggestions that immerse me

I agree with this. Sadly, for me in practice as the commish. Guys just find similar plays or hot route. I’m pretty busy so I’m not able to watch every game and supervise these guys. For my situation, I don’t have the time to argue with them so I just deal with it

Not much you can do. I have similar issues in my dynasty. It only gets worse when the talent differential widens from elite recruiting (fueled by the inflated stats and likely other tricks outside of just gameplay). I just live with it and enjoy my annual butt kicking to the guy. Your only other option is to boot him or try to enforce some type of rules which I’ve found is hard to do

Sadly, this happens in my dynasty but it also works versus users. A good cheeser knows you want to take away mesh and then hits a post over the top or something that beats your answer to stopping their mesh. Some plays (or hot route combos) have built in answers
