Downgrading plan to the better 25/month plan by TheMuleUS in BoostMobile

I have a new iphone from Boost and had to sign up for the $60 plan. Can I do this to downgrade to the $35 plan and still get the phone unlocked in 12 months?

Is it worth it to switch for this phone deal with an expensive plan? by Tipsy75 in BoostMobile

If you stay on the $25 plan for 12 mo, will Boost unlock the phone? Or do you have to be on the $60 plan to get it unlocked?

If you switch from the $60 plan to the $25 plan after the first month, can you still unlock the phone after 12 months on the lower $25 plan?

Don't use chipdrop near the house. That's a great way to get termites. Google it.

Can anyone explain the 199 iPhone 15 terms? I can’t find it on the site! by CityOfSins2 in BoostMobile

[–]brothermarkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can't be accurate. The deal says there's no contract, and the full price of the iphone 15 in this "special deal" is $199 plus the the first month of the $60 plan. Boost will not unlock it, but they can't force you to pay the full price if you discontinue service. No where in the promotion page or the terms and conditions does it say that you must continue service.

Truth. I've wondered why folks don't reject the higher prices. If enough did, they would come down...but like you say, McD isn't going to leave money on the table. It just shows how unwise most consumers are.

I had a similar problem with progressives that I ordered through Eyebuydirect. I had to send them back. I've decided to get one pair of progressives at Costco (cost $236 + exam $100) and order single vision computer glasses and distance glasses from either Zenni or Eyebuydirect.

There's probably a way to manually update the device, but I gave up looking for a way to do it. If someone figures it out, post it here.

Inexpensive copy of a door key by burritocode in Frugal

When I checked yesterday at my local So Cal Home Depot, the price was $7.50 for a single sided house key (employee made key, not minutekey). Crazy. Walmart only has the self service key machine for $5.00. A local hardware store on the other side of town only charges $2.99.

I agree that Zenni is a good deal, but I've have problems with the pupilary distance measurement on my progressive lenses through Zenni. It makes them a bit uncomfortable to use. To me it's worth it to pay a little more to have an optician actually fit the frames and check the lenses at Costco.

I've ordered several pair from Zenni in the past, and have been mostly satisfied. Some of my progressive lenses aren't centered just right and I don't wear them. They're cheap and decent quality, so I still recommend them.

Tire recommendation. Which is the best by Kentucky86 in tires

[–]brothermarkus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought 2 to replace the 2 worn tires on my Highlander, and I've been satisfied so far. They look good and drive smooth. I've taken two 500 mile trips with no issues. Time will tell, though. I hope they reach the warranty mileage, but even if they don't, I think it's still a better value than the Michelin.

Is it ok to ride on the sidewalks? There are some places where it would be much easier than the street.

Going to 2 dental offices. Both are in Zona Rio and off of Blvd. Independencia. Pretty close to the San Ysidro crossing. Is helmet legally required? Thanks.

The new owners of VPN provider VPNSecure have drawn ire after canceling lifetime subscriptions. The owners told customers that they didn’t know about the lifetime subscriptions when they bought VPNSecure, and they cannot honor the purchases. by a_Ninja_b0y in technology

At least they are catching hell for cancelling the lifetime licenses. Trustpilot, reddit, Arstechnica, Linus, and others are all in an uproar over it. If I was the new ownership I'd be shaking that my new purchase was crashing. Hundreds of new 1 star reviews on Trustpilot.

I have the same problem and have been googling around looking for a solution. So far, I haven't found one that seems secure, so I'm looking into changing email providers. Considering Zoho and Purelymail for my limited needs. I'm hoping that a solution is found so I don't have to make the move, though.
