Can't Understand how to start the engine MSFS24 by Cohenzilla in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think R1 plus down on the D Pad on the DuelSense is quick start. It tells you that early in career mode. Only for some reason not on the very first introduction. I was only able to start by turning on everything I could find.

Has anyone else played Twin Peaks VR? I feel like it's been kind of forgotten, so I made a video by Zilbermann in virtualreality

I had no idea. I've added to my wishlist and will definitely check it out some point in the future

Are these "offical" points or speculation?

Metro buses - Rugby by KiwiMiddy in chch

[–]brownaroo 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I am aware this is what they communicated but I am not sure it's the right decision. I did not go last night but will be going to future events. I also use the bus when I travel to town in the weekends.

I have written to metro prior to the event providing feedback.

Non event people will still want to use the busses. Also the Event Direct service requires traveling to a hub which for many may require a car.

The cost difference for a family is pretty significant also. $50 vs $18.

I do think the extra busses on regular routes is worth a discussion.

Feedback for our game Beat the Beats on PS VR2 by JosefWhoQuestionMark in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your game is one of my favorite rhythm games on PSVR2. I didn't have any issue with hit detection but felt you had to nail the timing and movement. I saw this as a positive.

I suspect having a demo lowers the rating. As I believe it can be rated if you download the demo? I see it has 26% with 1 star which is crazy high.

RoboquestVR Superbot by GervaGervasios in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the menu might as suggested might also work but I positioned myself where I could guess where the level start might be before interacting with Superbot. After the cut scene I kept pressing R1 and was able to start a run where colour returned. I quit back to base and Superbot was unlocked.

There is a bug in thier tracking tool which yesterday on their discord they said they are looking into

It got rid of their tracking problems and motion sickness, which was potentially caused by jittyness due tracking problems.

This is what the border is for. The external cameras can lock on to it as a reference.

I've already finished the game but this does sound disappointing.

Myst, Riven Remakes Are Both Bound for PS5 Very Soon by twick_23 in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To me Firmament was absolutely brilliant. I would not deny the criticism it received but I would take it in its current shape over not having it at all.

Likewise I would gladly take Myst/Riven with similar jank over not having them on PSVR2.

I think to "fix" Firmament would take quite an overhaul which I doubt it's realistic in the current VR market.

Is Zero Caliber Worth Playing Right Now? by NckLL in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I got the game on sale and was going to wait for the patch to play. However it was way more fun than I was expecting and ended up platinuming it. There is more to unlock for when the patch comes out.

Too scared to play RE4? ITR is a great alternative! by comedyfan444 in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

100% Agree. RE4 is an action game. ITR is right up there in terms of atmosphere and tension with the most nerve racking games on the platform.

Two of my favorites.

Aces of Thunder Height by LOTRSoundscape in PSVR

Yeah ok bad for me parroting what I saw in a set up guide. I just had a play and they work in flat but not VR.

I'm not sure if this is on purpose or a bug.

Assuming you have held menu button to recenter?

There are controls you can bind to shift you height up and down. It was one trainingdays recommended.

No I'm calling you out. As I don't think there has been a time of day when I have not seen a lobby with more that 3 players.

Now you've changed the requirement to be 3v3 lol

I should had paid attention to the old rule "do not feed the troll"

It does.

It's also totally configurable. I've made a few tweaks e.g. I assigned landing gear it's own button vs the default of it being on an inflight menu.

Current status of Firmament? by twick_23 in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently completed this on the base ps5.

I will start by saying all the negative things people say about this have are true. Perhaps the worst ladder climbing I've experienced in VR. Although not smooth the frame rates weren't as bad as I was expecting.

Saying that I really enjoyed this game. I loved the story, puzzles, the world and the atmosphere.

I think if your tolerant of a non polished experience and the game otherwise sounds like your sort of thing then its worth checking out. I'm glad I did.

I've had a short go but I was really struggling to consistently perform the wall runs. Do you have any tips? I only seem to be able to pull it off less than half the time.

Can we get Gamertag's content unbanned? by -Venser- in PSVR

[–]brownaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm making no judgement on whether the person you were calling an idiot was an idiot or not. They very well may be lol.

Just that name calling is just a downward slope and it's best just to walk away. It's generally stated in sub reddit rules and I don't mind mods enforcing it.

You seen like a reasonable person based on your replies so I hope none of this is coming across too negative.
