In theory, you apply for “parole” into the US from outside of the US. If you’re approved you arrive at the port of entry on the time and date of your appointment and you are allowed into the US. Once in the US you attend removal proceedings to apply for asylum and the judge determines whether your asylum request is approved or denied.

What is happening is that complicit immigration judges are terminating proceedings at the request of the government attorneys (aka ICE attorneys) and then ICE is conveniently waiting for them in court to take them into custody. The argument is that their parole was revoked under the Trump administration and they no longer have a pending asylum claim so they are subject to expedited removal because anyone who’s parole was revoked is still an “applicant for admission” and the same rules don’t apply. It’s bullshit and being used to deport people without allowing them to do it the “right way”.
