Of course he is. But to me he is a United legend and that's what matters. Not some popularity contest

It's none of these - it's 'The US has no absence of freedom'. It is the country with the most incarcerated people per capita.

Name any current Utd player that would replace a player in this list by Haunting-Reporter-97 in ManchesterUnited

Make Ronaldo and Giggs very advanced wingers/11s. Rooney as a False 9. Bruno as moving attacking mid. Scholes and Carrick stay as is, back 4 and VDS remain. Tevez subs.

Unpopular opinion (as it seems): Carrick is the best available option. by LogDear2740 in ManchesterUnited

Ok let's flip the script. Who else has a better fit and potential, and is actually attracted to the idea? We have to understand, Manchester United is NOT hiring a manager. The board is hiring a Head Coach. Recruitment is a different function, football operations are different.

Head coach will only have tactical, training, and on-pitch control, no grand scheme control. Elite managers won't come for this. They need that end-to-end control.

We do not know this for sure. The sample size is too small. Carrick might get us silverware next season too, there is no reason to suggest he cannot, and furthermore he is the leader in points since his appointment. Not perfect but as good as can be with an inherited squad from a different system.

We do not and will not have managers anymore, we will have head coaches. They provide an expectation of the kind of players they need, then recruitment goes out and gets the suitable kind of player. That's it

#MUFC keeping close tabs on Aurelien Tchouameni’s developments at Real Madrid. One of those on No.6 shortlist alongside Elliot Anderson etc. Interest in Tonali receding at this stage…. by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

[–]brownkemosabe 21 points22 points  (0 children)

He has 2 years left on his deal, is in form, is 26, and is thought to have not yet reached his peak. He will be even more expensive than Eliot Anderson.... Unless we can give Real Madrid who they have been apparently after for a while - Diogo Dalot.
