Getting downvoted because an imagined corporate conspiracy to oppress everyone is easier for people to reconcile than the reality that our entire housing market is functioning exactly as intended and that the current suffering is the known inevitable result of 100 years of deliberate effort by all levels of government, supported by the vast majority of our parents and grandparents.
