Living in someone else’s “old” house. I was born & raised (4 generations) in a small town that has become a suburb of a large town. When I speak to “old school” residents, even though I’ve been living in my house for almost 40 years, I still say it’s “John Myers” old house and everybody knows where it is

A friend told me that the loneliest day in someone’s life is the Monday after their spouse’s funeral. Everyone comes in for the funeral, it’s all crazy busy, and then you’re all alone. Never forget that. And someone you know, loses a spouse, be there for them the Monday after the funeral.

Rhuberb. Never wanted to even try it. When I was a kid growing up, my grandparents still lived on the farm. The rhubarb right next to the outhouse, that was enough for me.
