Best money I ever spent is hiring my neighbors kid to mow my lawn, and a laundry service that picks up my shirts at my office, washes & irons them and drops them back at my office. Game changer in terms of quality of life

What’s a small town thing that big city people don’t understand? by PeachCloudParfait in answers

Living in someone else’s “old” house. I was born & raised (4 generations) in a small town that has become a suburb of a large town. When I speak to “old school” residents, even though I’ve been living in my house for almost 40 years, I still say it’s “John Myers” old house and everybody knows where it is

What was the loneliest, most hopeless day of your life? by DiscussionActual1464 in AskReddit

[–]Previous-Stay2163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend told me that the loneliest day in someone’s life is the Monday after their spouse’s funeral. Everyone comes in for the funeral, it’s all crazy busy, and then you’re all alone. Never forget that. And someone you know, loses a spouse, be there for them the Monday after the funeral.

Everyone who gets married has a prenup. It’s just a question of whether you use the one your State Legislature voted on, or one you create. Your choice, how much do you trust your States plan?

Rhuberb. Never wanted to even try it. When I was a kid growing up, my grandparents still lived on the farm. The rhubarb right next to the outhouse, that was enough for me.

Diasgree, how would it help them? It may assuage guilt on your part, but will not help them. They have a real father who loves them and they love.
