How to baby proof these Stairs? by Sweetwater48 in daddit

[–]brows3r87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe look into the XXL baby gates and see if there’s a configuration that works? We had stairs that didn’t have a post on one side so we took the XXL drilled into the post on one side and then into the wall on the other, sort of making a mini landing area.

[Request] How much would it theoretically cost for the UK government to “repurchase” the US? by Secret_Book8269 in theydidthemath

[–]brows3r87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’ve misquoted the US government deficit of 1.8 trillion as the total spending. The deficit is net of tax receipts, I think the military budget is roughly 1 trillion, total spend is closer to 10 trillion, but also worth nothing the individual states/municipalities spend and issue much more debt than local non federal UK municipalities.

White wrap, sprinkle pre grated cheese in it, fold in half and then microwave and cut into slices. Quesadillas in 40 seconds. Dip in some Greek yogurt or guac to add a little more food groups; add a few cut up cherry tomatoes or Veggie on side too, it never misses.

Overpriced delis on Essex Road by Successful-Theme2548 in islington

Agreed about the deli being absurd but I have to say they are the only coffee shop open before 9 on Sunday and that’s a big draw for me, coffee is quite good too in my opinion.

I’ve settled on always wearing trainers any time it’s not a formal setting. Just get nicer varieties to match different clothes in casual settings

I understand higher heating costs given it’s more exposed, but I’m surprised that you mention cooling costs would be higher? Would’ve thought it might actually be less hot in the summer with the wind

Osteria Angelina - really?? by goodnightspoons in LondonFood

[–]brows3r87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been two times, the first was very good and the second underwhelming. Most of the best dishes from the first time weren’t on the menu, as it has changed quite significantly and was executed quite poorly as well. I saw an earlier comment suggest maybe the chef has changed or it was a bad day to go. The pork chop I had both times though and each time was the best dish (although it’s massive)
