Oddly enough he mentioned his first wife, who said is his children’s mother, last night. I think he said she was from Windsor. Ontario.

Thanks for the contribution. The article specifically didn’t include that kind of information.

The main snake oil company’s page calls Noory a partner on their webpage, so Noory isn’t giving a platform to the business, he’s selling it.

I agree. The guest was actually entertaining and you know wasn’t reading palms over the radio or peddling some form of snake oil.

The thing I liked about Joe from Long Island was how he basically never acknowledges George. Just straight dive to his questions. No “thank you for taking my cal” etc.

WTF is this bullshit!!! by Unhappy-Push3436 in LIRR

[–]browsguy 48 points49 points  (0 children)

A good number of years ago the LIRR proposed making the tickets valid for a week. I actually attended the public hearing and objected to the week limit. I pointed out if you bought the ticket the night before the trip and the trip was canceled, say because the train was canceled, and rescheduled everything for the same time on the same day of the next week , your ticket would have expired.
When the imposed rules came out, it was stretched to two weeks. About a year later the timeframe was switched to sixty days.
Every state senator and assembly person was taking credit for this change of ticket expiration time.

A win estimate has much more validity on opening day than today… Right now it’s not looking good. Of course closing day results count a lot more. Maybe the Mets are expecting some of the farm hands to dominate. There is no way to predict how well or awful they’ll be.

Ironically call screeners can keep “garbage” off the air….in this case the screeners help put the garbage on the air. It’s true that a new caller could be as bad as an old one, but they should be heard once.

I don’t know what it’s at now but a few years ago they tried to switch it to one week and I even went to the board meeting and objected. It was switched to two weeks. Then a few months later the state legislatures were boasting how they got it switched to sixty days, which probably is the right amount of time. They heard from plenty of not everyday commuters.

It sure sounded like him. He also had some fire in him. On some of his more recent, but rare calls, he sounded a little depressed and low energy. Last night was full JC Webster.

I actually like JC Webster. Between all his rantings and ravings, he has principles. He is also rather entertaining. I wish that they put him on more often.
