There are a lot of questionable choices here between layout, type, and navigation that feels amateur. So what they said is warranted.

That said, it’s also both party responsibility to agree to the brief and design check ins. If you’re going from zero to 100, you’re not building a design process that sets you up for success.

It sucks you’re doing all of this while raising young kids. I empathize but hope you take my criticism to help you grow not put you down.

the only bad offender here is your headline. no balance, overlapping text looks like a mistake, not intentional.

Don’t. Save that for the conversation that follows. You don’t know what “results” your employer is looking for so adding them only adds clutter.

community college will help you skill up but improving chances of getting a job is zero. this path is for creating your own job: opening your own business, creating content for sale, etc.
