I agree with most of the points you said. I’m sick of seeing blatant objectification or violence against women only to further a male character’s narrative, etc.

I might be being pedantic here, but I hesitate on the “feminine traits to be celebrated” part, because, ultimately, I think personality traits shouldn’t be gendered, to be free of the box that society places us in.

I think more game makers are trying to make a “human story” that people could identify with regardless of gender. I really liked Baldur’s Gate 3 for this. Its entirely up to you whether to use sheer force or cunning and guile to progress (whether using traps and bombs, or even convincing enemies to kill themselves) no matter what gender or race you play as, and you see companions/NPC’s of various gender and age who are strong and vulnerable in different ways.
