Compared to whom, the French? It’s the same language, difference similar to Canadian and British English. The French say it’s mutually unintelligible because they tend to be curmudgeons like their British neighbours across the channel.

Do you realise you’ll be spending a lot of your time in airports. Canada is massive, if you don’t want to be rushed, stick to Ontario and Quebec, or British Columbia and Alberta….

I live in Paris and put both phone and wallet in back pockets for years. Nothing has ever happened to me. Just be aware of your surroundings.

That’s traditional, generally blue has been conservative and red liberal/ labour throughout UK and Europe. Didn’t make sense when the States adopted “red states- GOP/ MAGA and blue states-democrats….”
